Blackout (Williams 1980) SBR34

Complete rebuild from scratch! Bord managed to get a complete set of scans including the playfield (thanks Chris)! The table dimensions and layout are as accurate as possible thanks to those scans. All posts were positioned on the corresponding holes in the PF scan.

A big thanks goes to Bord! I could not have done this without him! He made working on this really easy for me! Thanks my friend!

I also want to thank UnclePaulie for making this table VR-Ready! Options are in the script! I love that BG!

Also a big thanks to Chris, iaakki, rothbauer and Rik for the help! I know all of you guys are busy!

Thanks to 32assassin for bringing this table to VPX! I used my mod of his table as a base for this one!

You can change the LUT's by pressing the magna save buttons!

If it weren't for these excellent recreations of these solid state tables, I would never have given them a second look. Blackout is another one I've never heard about, but it is yet another gem that looks stunning and plays excellently.

Where has this baby been all my life? I have never heard of it before now and it's beautiful, fun and plays great. Right into my favorites, both versions VPX and VR. Thanks

Fantastic visuals but slightly let down by too easy gameplay...I clocked the score on the very first go, so my personal motivation to play this great looking table ever again is quite negligible, which is a real shame considering all the effort put in by the designer.  :(

This is exceptional! The quality is absolutely on par with the creations of masters like VPW, UnclePaulie, bord, Rothbauerw, Flupper, et al (sorry, if I forgot any). It seems to play just like the real table, as far as a casual observer can tell. I return to it over and over. One of my favourites, for sure.

Thank you to all involved and I patiently await any further creations by Schlabber! Incredible work!

This is one of the beauties of vp ss.

I played this table allready 3 days in a row.

Absolute stunning.

One thing i noticed is that this isnt the original apron.

The left lane change, doesnt excist in the real table.

Only the right "Advance lanes".

Response from the author:

Sad but true we don't have 4k resources for this. Untill we have this we have to live with the standard version.

Well done…fun table!

This version is so well done, can't stop playing. The insert lighting is amazing. I've seen and played Blackout in real life and can honestly say this recreation is better in every way.

Oh yes, one of the most beautiful pinball of this era beautifully reproduced !

According to Claude Fernandez the designer, the name and the inspiration comes from the real blackout in New-York, in 1965.

Thank you all the team for this re-creation !

pacboy
