Ante Up! Welcome aboard the Lauren Belle for the release of Maverick from the VPW team!

This one is one of many peoples grails, with (as far as we know) no version since a vp9 one. We were lucky that someone supplied us with a lovely set of photos with which we could build a lovely playfield from so this could finally be a reality!

** Please use VPX 10.7 ** - This won't necessarily be normal for VPW, as it's caused more than a few issues, but we wanted to try it as an experiment.
** Make sure you have the latest VPX 10.7 build, 249 was broken. **

VR Options are all in the script.

'*** V-Pin Workshop Mavericks ***

Antisect - 99% of the table construction and work!

Edizzle - Donating  his script for the rotating wheel from his vp9 table and advice.

Tomate - Primitive ramps and flippers, primitive assistance

Sixtoe - VR Room & general fixes and tweaks

Apophis - Dynamic ball shadows, physics additions, scripting stuff, playfield cleanup and redrawing

Flupper - Ramp assistance and tutorial

Fluffhead35 - Wire rolling sounds.

Ebislit - Playfield alignment assistance.

Dark - Lauren Bell Boat Model

iaakki & daphishbowl - script assistance

Rik & VPW Team - Testing

The whole VPW Team, for their assistance and support.

'040 - Sixtoe - Added VR table and scripted in some bits and pieces, physics tweaked, loads of old and/or redundant script stripped out and things rescripted, redirected game load to de.vbs, fixed drop target bricking, adjusted kickback and plunger, should be more reliable? not sure how strong the plunger is supposed to be.
'041 - apophis - Added Wylte's RTX dynamic ball shadows. Removed old ball shadow stuff, Increased plunger strength and speed. Removed duplicate sound related functions.
'042 - apophis - Updated RTX BS to current version
'043 - fluffhead35 - Adding RampRoll Sound Loops, Added new RampSound Triggers to turn RampRolling on and Off on table
'044 - apophis - Fixed ball release bug. Added target bouncer, flipper rubberizer and coil rampup mods. Tweaked RTX shadows. Reduced skillshot autoplunger strength.
'045 - Sixtoe - Compressed some webp images, converted audio from wav to mp3 (cut 90meg off the file size),

'1.0.2 - Sixtoe - Flashers updated / tweaked, desktop room tweaked, plunger tweaked.

Both vpf and vpu has a "sick" version right now. 249 crashes way too often and people will get the wrong impression trusting it. If you look at 10.7 beta thread, both me and jps reported it and it has been fixed, just not uploaded to any of the sites yet.

This is a even later version, but, it is beta, just like any other 10.7 ... should fix the issue we reported, but, no guarantees.

Great table, that I did not know before - really nice gameplay. Superb work @Antisect and all others involved! Works perfect with rev213. This will steal a lot of my time (at least) this week...(hopefully my 2nd vaccination dont cause any side effects like headaches...). Have to reach out for table rules.

Thank you for creating and sharing this!!!

(p.s. if you get totally bored, theres another grail waiting 😉 , WPF, No.1841)

First time using 10.7. I copied only the 'vpinball.exe' file from the latest beta version and renamed it to 'VPinballX10.7rev249' and put it in my Visual Pinball folder, i copied nothing else, no scripts or anything and to my suprise, it performs even better than 10.6. I'm happy now.

The long awaited Maverick! Thanks for this unexpected surprise. It's so cool.

And to anyone who's holding themselves back from 10.7, there's really no reason. I was super hesitant in not wanting to mess things up as I've spend countless hours fine-tuning my machine. But really, upgrading to 10.7 couldn't have been simpler.  I simply renamed my existing 10.6 as a backup, then copied the 10.7 VPinballX.exe file into my Visual Pinball folder. I also copied the new Scripts folder over (after backing up my original, just in case). I've not had any issues with 10.7 since. So easy.

@Thorville : If you ONLY copied the - exe - and never took the scripts, and you haven't since ... 10.6. Then you should consider it. 10.7 has a new core.vbs and it is important for any SSF users especially. Admittedly, it seems to break at least the table 'Tri Zone' by Kiwi, but, it will most probably be fixed once 10.7 has become official.

@astroboy method above is considered very safe and recommended.

This is exciting!  I've always loved this table.  It's the only reason I've kept PM5 around.  Guess I can ditch PM5 now!  Looking forward to trying this out after work!

Thank you guys so much.     I have been looking forward to this one since I heard it was being worked on.     Can't wait to load it up.    The only PM5 table I have left to replace besides Jurassic Park 2.   Thanks again.

If you're talking about Lost World, not sure if you're aware of the VPX version JP's The Lost World Jurassic Park (Sega 1997) 3.0.0.  It's excellent.

Totally Amazing!!   Thank you to ALL involved!  Great work!

For those heeing and hawing about VPX 10.7, JUST DO IT.   You can EASILY have 10.6 and 10.7 co-exist in the same folder, you are missing out on a LOT of good tables!!!  If you look through your VP folder, you will see see a version of VP8 as well as a couple versions of VP9.  Absolutely NO REASON to not add a beta of 10.7.

ok so the latest VPX 10.7 build linked above runs the table perfectly.

However the latest VPVR.7 build as crazy sound issues where the sound effects through ssf exciters sound like lasers firing??

I disabled Thump and that didnt help and a few other things. Has anyone been able to get it to work correctly in VR?

Wow. Great table! Thanks @Antisect and to the rest of the VPW team. Really fun table.

For some reason I couldn't get the 4.02 ROM to work. I had to use the 4.01 ROM.

Hurray for the Creators. Thanks guys. I want to kiss you but my wife would object. I was just telling someone how the best is yet to come. What an incredible summer thanks to you Geniuses. Your dedication is appreciated to the Max. Now I will stop slobbering and get to playing!

Hey Thalamus!

So I updated my 10.7 with the dropbox link you sent. I run the table from vpx (no frontend) and the sound works! I also got the losing ball fixed (but that was a POV issue) but the weird thing is that when I launch this table from popper the sound issue is back. No clue what is going on here lol. Could it be my launch script?

I updated to the dropbox version and get more errors than with the version of 10.7 I had. Added the scripts too.

I believe it has been resolved and will be updated later on. mp3 and ogg is supported in vp10.7, but, no one had tested using it on the table. Only the backglass. And, there seems to be some weirdness going on because of this. 1.01 will arrive, when tested.

What a great release ... thaaaaaank you very much altogether.

I was wondering about a "missing" ball rolling sound; so i´ve found, that table script is working alright and those "BALL_ROLL_XXX" sounds and the "game_timer" are existing. Those sounds are working in sound manager; but not if table has started once. If you go back to sound manager - after exiting emulation - the ball rolling sounds "Ball_Roll_01 up to 03" are only clickering. Number 04 and following are working. Strange. Maybe a VPX 10.7 issue there? I was using rc225 and 228 for testing.

Greetings; back on cab and once more thanks. You guys are machines as said already.

Table plays great. Thanks to the team!

I downloaded the latest VPX 10.7 from the link Thalamus posted (thanks!) but for the life of me I cannot find where I tweak the table brightness and ball reflections for this table only.

There was a night / day slider in 10.6  Is this gone now? If it's still there where do I find it please?

I Googled the issue and some info back in March said look for "user" tab. I can't see one anywhere.

EDIT: Found it.  Had to click on the "properties" box on the right hand side for the other tabs to show up.
