Step into the lab and bring the machine to life! Released by Gottlieb in September 1986, Genesis tasks you with collecting four body parts to assemble a robot, then striking the vari-target to power up the Regenerator and witness its awakening. The playfield multiplier can climb as high as 32x during multiball as scoring compounds fast with every shot. This recreation faithfully captures the table's striking color-contrast playfield, 1980s sci-fi flair, and punishing difficulty.

Please Note: You will need the latest pre-release of VPinMame (build v3.7.0-237 or later) for this table to run properly. (not PinMame, it has to be VPinMame)

I have been waiting for Genesis to get reworked for quite some time.  I love this table.  I’m so glad it’s the VPW crew that did it.  I’ve yet to play it, but I know it’s going to be great always.  Thanks to all who worked on this awesome pin!

You know it's going to be a great weekend when it's friday and @VPinWorkshop just released a fresh table!

Thanks for your work.

I updated to the latest pre-release version of VPinMame 3.7.0.477.

The rom and Genesis table are in place.

I can add credits and start the game and the ball advances but the table itself will not turn on.

Any ideas what is wrong?  Thanks!

Edit:  Everything now works after switching to the 64-bit version of the latest VPinMame pre-release.

What for a wonderful table, thanks Team.

does this pre-release of VPinMame have any known issues with other tables?

Left ramp drop switch is busted in VR.  It drops from the ramp, never exits, and just keeps scoring.

As always-- a stellar job with superb attention to detail. @VPinWorkshop are my heroes!!!!

Problems with the left ramp. The ball gets stuck, repeatedly tries to break free, and keeps releasing the next letter.

Please be sure you have updated VPinMame, per the release notes.

I updated VPinMAME, and the left/Arms ramp still sometimes doesn't eject the ball back to you when it should after shooting its lit shot.

It's something else.

This is why it's important not to flood the comments section on VPUniverse with "WOW, Awesome table! Thanks" posts.

You need to update Vpinmame to the very latest prerelease (2 days old) not the released version. Why so tetchy? What's wrong with saying this table is awesome! Wow! Thanks VPW!

Is this an original or an update?  Reason I ask is that I installed the new table, and instantly got older scores with MY initials.  But I don't have any Genesis table installed.  Must have had it at one time.

Thanks, I had installed the 3.7 beta build, but I see now that it was build 222 and the Genesis notes require 237 or newer. I’m updating to the latest prerelease now and I’ll retest it.

And I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with complimenting the table. I just think actual thought-out feedback is more useful than a bunch of identical “Awesome table! Thanks!” comments, especially when people are also trying to report bugs and troubleshoot them.

That would be because VPinMAME is using the same ROM/NVRAM data as before, not because of the table file itself.

So appreciate this community. Devs have been working very hard for sure in .. must be close to 2 years now for what comes next. They listen, there is still bugs from all their changes, wow, what is this new thing ? Linux support ... handheld androids. They are absolutely heroes !

And then we got this group of friends on discord - who will not accept doing anything "half assed" once they focus on a project. It actually fun to look at the humor / teasing that is going on - but, at the same time, such good guys working together to get a machine emulated so close to the real thing possible (at that time). Bugs, being crushed because it is reported upstream to either pinmame or vpx.

You guys know who I'm talking to in that regard, it is not only the original vpw, but, still they are the pillars.

I'm deeply appreciative for you dedication and hard work.

Thanks a lot guys. I'm sure that this is going to be another above and beyond what I expected only a couple of years back.
