Ahh yes. Gottlieb's incredibly popular wedgehead - El Dorado!

EM Underdogs present their hybrid version of this famous table. 

Lauded for its "target rich environment" and proclaimed by many to be THE best drop target game Gottlieb ever made .

The layout was so popular it was reskinned into many different games like the add-a-ball Gold Strike and export version Lucky Strike, the 4 player Target Alpha and 2 player Solar City. It was even brought back to life in the 80's as a solid state, El Dorado City Of Gold.

 

EM Underdogs took the late great Loserman76 version and did a complete rebuild.

@burger added the Fleep sounds and nFozzy physics

@DGrimmReaper added the VR Cabinet and VR room and @hauntfreaks made the VR backglass

Desktop users can choose the built in desktop scoring or change the background in Image Manager to use a directb2s

Thanks for this, everyone! This game is also famously the one Roger Sharpe *wanted* to play for the New York City Council when he "saved pinball" in 1976. But they worried he had tampered with it, so they made him play Gottlieb Bank Shot instead. :)

Welcome to El Dorado - City of Drop Targets!

 

I was familiar with this layout from Target Alpha and wasn't aware there were so many variations. Landing those drops is one thing, but hitting the lit ones is another skill altogether.

 

Thanks EM Underdogs for another great recreation - another fantastic tribute to Loserman76. Thanks Burger for yet another heap of fleep and nfozzy magic, and huge thanks to HauntFreaks for his obligatory beauty of a BG.

Love it! Although my favorite theme of this layout is Canada Dry (being Canadian), this is definitely a beautiful job and plays really nicely! I guess we will have to switch it up, next family game night, to see who can smash the high score on this one! Thanks for all of the great tables you guys put out!
