VPW are proud to present Team One by Gottlieb!

This started as a "team of one" project with mcarter78 looking to scratch build this 1977 EM classic using fresh playfield and plastics scans. It began with a Loserman script base, but as with all VPW projects, it quickly evolved into a collaborative effort to get every detail right.

apophis jumped in to help with physics, specifically dialing in the flipper angles and tackling drop target resistance. Meanwhile, bthlonewolf stepped up to code a brand-new rubber animation system.

On the visual side, tomate helped clean up the playfield image and apron meshes, while Ext2k supplied the VR cabinet with a backglass from hauntfreaks. mcarter78 tied it all together with a new VR environment and proper EM reel implementation to capture that authentic mechanical feel.

It's the Add-A-Ball sibling to Abra Ca Dabra, tuned to perfection. Enjoy!

Love these EM tables. Plays great and sound great!
This is what pinball to me is all about!
It’s what started it all.

It's an EM, so it will never be fun to those too addicted to the speed of modern pinball, but it has its charms. It's a great gift from VPW to Americans on Superbowl Sunday to remind us that for the rest of the world, football means something very  different...

Graphically, it's perfect, and I love the VR room. The physics seem on point, though I've never played the game. Still, fun to complete the numbers and knock down all the targets to earn a WOW and rack up big points.

Another amazing release!  The playfield is so well done.  It looks awesome even at 1080p :

What an absolute gem this is!

The range of points on this table is incredible and the uphill battle to that sweet million is as brutal as it is on the real table.

I really like this EM table, you have done some beautiful work! It's very fun to play and a high scoring EM machine but the only thing I don't like is the sticky note, it really takes away from the retro look of the table and is distracting overall.

I moved and resized HS area here and I think this looks way better and functions just fine here. Just a suggestion.

Almost 300-000 points, the table is very playable I love it😁

You mean the ball is a little slow? Nothing happens it doesn't affect the gameplay, I played this table very well.. Thank you... I never touch anything about the physics of the tables

Response from the author:

Out of curiosity, what have you done to the nudge physics? they seem... somewhat massively broken?

Gorgatron

This is a pretty fun EM table -- knock down the targets, hit the rollovers, score!  The outlanes are a little thirsty so watch your shots or get ready to nudge.  Normal size flippers.  It is a bit floaty (EM typical) but plays pretty fast once you start kicking the ball around.

I am blown away by the VR room, it is an amazing setting for this table.

Excellent, get it!

Another VPW masterpiece, and something slightly different in a EM machine.  Thanks.

What a looker! Physics perfectly recreate an EM and make for a relaxing play and a serene pinball experience chasing high-scores. Incredibly well done recreation and an ideal tribute to Loserman.

Big thanks to mcarter and the team . Love all that you guys do and covering the breadth of selection from pinball history is most welcome. I have a bona fide museum in my cab and I can't thank all the talented creators enough.

Fantastic release.  Thanks to all the team.  This was my first and last table played yesterday.  There's something so soothing about hearing and feeling the ball roll around on a classic EM table and the visuals here are top notch.

Thank you so much. The reproduction is perfect. The lighting is all very well done. Great job. It's incredibly realistic.

Always lovely to see EMs given love (especially by VPW!) and this one is no exception. Very simple rules make this one easy to pick up and play :)

Also the VR room is gorgeous holy moly???

Peace,

Love this table.  Straight forward and easy to play.  It's greatness is in it's simplicity.  Feels real and looks great.  Nothing missing here.  Thanks for sharing.

EM tables often make me recall the painful loss of way too many coins in my youth to the generous drains on these machines;  however, this one is a great counterexample.  Really fun.  The new VR room is also outstanding and a refreshing change.  One minor note though: On an 8K headset the outdoor textures are extremely pixelated and could benefit from a resolution boost.

Mecha_Enron

Excellent build and very addicting! I doubt I'll ever see an old EM like this in such pristine order so its a great to feel like I'm playing a NIB 1977 machine.
