"The Meanest, Greenest Game on the Street"

 

The Godzilla pinball machine was released in August 1998 by SEGA. The game is based on the Godzilla movie released earlier that year by TriStar Pictures.  Godzilla was the last pinball machine manufactured by SEGA before shutting down their pinball operations.

 

This virtual project started out with incredibly detailed specifications of the physical and visual dimensions of the SEGA machine from EBisLit.  Of course, who can turn those specifications into gold?  Mr. Sixtoe himself, the grandmaster of blueprints, schematics and more.

 

Next some initial scripting / foundation objects were added by TastyWasps and Apophis which leads into the STUNNING blender toolkit 3D renders from Tomate which highlights the massive Godzilla sculpt in this table that may be one of the largest sculpts ever made in pinball history.

 

The tail end of the project (no pun intended) consists of laborious detail into each aspect of the machine to play as close to the real thing as possible with help from EBisLit's experience and other play testers' input.

The collaboration of so many passionate authors, creators, scripters, artists, testers, etc. have truly made this project come to life in the digital medium.

  • VPX 10.8.0 beta 7 or later is required

v1.1.1 - apophis - Fixed spinner rotation direction. Fixed switch animations. Utilizing new DisableStaticPrerendering when options menu is active (requires VPX build 1666 or higher)

v1.1.3 - apophis - Disabled reflection of Halo lights l28a and l32a
v1.1.4 - Sixtoe - Added captive ball area roof to stop balls falling in it.

This table is a showcase of fantastic light, 3D, sound and gameplay.

Yet, again the goalposts are being moved on table creation in VPX.
If you have SSF, the shaker sound will make you believe Godzilla is two steps behind you! Run!

The 3D model of Godzilla is perfection. Play the table  in stereo 3D (VPX 10.8 GL) , it is unreal!

Lotsa comments about the great colors, but I haven't experienced them yet. Why not?

 

Because I'm in 3D heaven running the table in VPX GL anaglyph mode. The layers and the solid depth are stunning!

I don't like the movie, and I wasn't a big fan of previous VPX simulations, but I can't stop playing this one. The game somehow makes my whole pinball machine feel bigger!

 

VPW, you just keep topping yourself.

I just saw but never played the real table, but this looks just like i remember it. I am old and maybe do not remember it 100% accurate, but this table is 100% awesome! Thanks for all the work you put into this! 🙂👍📌⚽

PS.: We need some real pinball icon, (push)pin-ball is kinda lame... 😂

This is so good! Thank you so much to all of you in the VPW team that put so many hours into this awesome release and thank you to all of the testers as well since you guys probably squashed any bugs out of this if it had any and you guys probably had a ton of fun playing it while doing so.
Download this table now and start playing it instead of reading my review, trust me you will be happy you did...

Just when I thought Police Force to be one of the best tables ever created you come along and outdo yourself once again. This is a phenomenal job, thanks to everyone who made this table/project a success it look and plays fantastic. VPW setting the bar higher!
