Jokerz! (Williams 1988) VPW

Quiet! We Are Playing!

VPW is proud to present Jokerz! by Williams. Another table designed by the late great Barry Ousler, Tomate saw a video of it on the PAPA youtube channel and thought it looked like an interesting and great fun table, so we decided to get it done.

Thanks to Bord we were lucky to be able to get hold of a brand new hardtop playfield and also a set of plastics, so we could build the machine properly (with the correct dimensions) from the ground up, and because of this we decided to make it one of our completely rendered tables.

We're super happy with how it turned out and we hope you enjoy it!

looks like the Jackpot never grows. it starts at 2,5 M. If you get the JP then it goes down 0.5 M but never grows again.

For some reason this table causes my police lights to go off non-stop.  Does anyone know how to make them stop running?

Go on the DOF website and remove the M from the Beacon Line Like this S10 1000

So I did this but it doesn't seem to have fixed the issue.  I'm wondering if I'm doing this wrong, here's the steps I took:

1: I logged into DOF Config Tool (https://configtool.vpuniverse.com/app/home) and clicked "Stats" on the left side of the window and selected "Beacon" from the Toy drop down list

2: I selected "Jokerz!" from the list of tables that use the beacon toy and then found the Beacon line item from the Table Configs page for Jokerz! and removed the letter "m" from the line under "User Configuration" so that all it says now is "S10 1000", I did not touch the Pubic Configuration line which still has the "m" in it.

3: I clicked "Update" button at the top right corner of the page and then "Generate Config" which saved a zip file containing three files to my computer.

4: I copied those files into my DirectOutput folder and replaced the corresponding files

5: I loaded the Jokerz! table and the beacons are still running constantly.

Is there something I missed here?  Thanks for your help so far!

Certainly sounds like you did right try downloading new files again becsuse you may have not waited long enough after hitting update.

Did you remove the m under both the "User Configuration" and the "Public Configuration"?  I'm not sure what the difference between those two columns in Table Configuration are.

No only the private side the public side you cannot change. The only side that downloads to your computer is the private side ( user configuration)

Tried again today and it still doesn't seem to be working.  Is it possible to deactivate the beacons altogether for this specific table by just deleting the "S10 1000" line completely?  I'd rather be able to play the table than not because of the beacons.

Instead of "m" write "min" or "max" to Set the Minimal or maximal time of the effect (everytime it get Triggered)

Hmm, I tried that as well and it didn't seem to fix it either.   I then tried writing "S10 Max5" instead of "S10 Max1000" to see if that changed the interval at all but it didn't seem to have any effect.

I also tried removing the line altogether but that seemed to screw up the table loading, so not sure what to do at this point.  Thanks for the suggestions so far.
