This was the last pin produced by Mylstar and production was continued by Premier. It is also the last game designed by Ed Krynski for Gottlieb/Mylstar. The models for the explorers on the backglass were two Gottlieb employees, Jeri Knighton and Jeff Lee (Gottlieb video game artist).

Gottlieb 1984 - Aztec Jungle Theme

This is a MOD of theGhost787 and 32assassins table. I'm not sure what it is about this table but it intrigued me when I first saw it. It is a slower table but it is challenging.

Script is by 32assassin, and table start by theGhost787. I did a partial redraw of the play field just to line everything up a bit better. Enhanced the colors a bit. Also moved around the table elements and lights to match the play field and to make it play and look more like the videos online. If we could get a good play field and plastics scan this table would really come to life. I used what resources were available online (and there are not many). I have never played the real table but have watched some youtube videos. So physics are adjusted to match them the best I could.

Enjoy, I know I have enjoyed modding it.

I'm not sure what I changed between 1.2 and 1.3. Its been a while ago. Just wanted to get the new version on this site. I think (I think) took borgdogs target alpha or El Dorado and positioned all the parts on this one to match up correctly.  Also probably adjusted physics and better plastic images.

Great update jbg4208, I have your 1.4 MOD from Dec 7 2020 from the old site, but this one plays much better (i'm in 10.7) and did my eyes deceive or you also upgrade the playfield? i call it 1.3 kickass edition! 🙂  

 

For the person looking for better flipper looks, i attached a cabinet POV that looks quite nice. It's a 10.7 pov so it includes the custom settings but you could delete that bottom <customsettings> thru </customsettings> section if you prefer (the only thing i changed in custom section is to override NightDay and a NightDay level of 24 (since auto day/night works terrible on my machine.)

Thanks for the review. I Didn't upgrade the playfield but I did find better plastic images. not much better but some. It plays better now that the elements have been lined up correctly. Glad you like the changes and thanks for the POV.

Nice table, nice stuff (but I prefer the older E.M. "El Dorado" - the music is annoying lol). Not the fault of developer, of course. I give 5 stars for your stuff!
