Thank you to  @cyberpez @dboyrecords @CompuFox @luvthatapex for creating this beautiful table and making it free to mod!

"The mighty warrior of the gods challenges you." (Marketing Slogan)

Mars God of War is a 1981 pinball game designed by John Buras and released by D. Gottlieb & Company (1977-1983.

  • I added nFozzy physics and Fleep sounds and implemented VR
  • thanks @RajoJoey for the amazing VR cabinet assets
  • @teisen - many visual enhancements such as lighting, shadows, inserts, bumpers, and a lot more
  • @Cliffy - improved VR cabinet hardware such as coindoor, other metals, and added desktop lockbar
  • @DGrimmReaper - worked on apron digits so they work in VR

Desktop users can try the F12 option "Desktop VR Test". Set that to on,  then restart the table. Zoom out using Z offset (also in F12) to see the whole cabinet and backglass in the vr room on your desktop. You won't be able to look around but it's cool to see the whole cabinet with the table in it, imo

Thank you very much for the quality of your work.

There is one particular point for which I would like to congratulate you: the Ball in Play and Credit display on the apron, which did not work when playing in 3D (head tracking). It is now working perfectly.

Perhaps the digital score display could be improved further in the future, but overall I would like to congratulate you on this fantastic work.

I would also like to invite you to take a look at the backglass I created for this table.

Keep up the great work, and best wishes for your future projects.

Definitely one of Gottlieb's finest and a vastly underrated table imo. Loved the Cyberpez original and massively appreciate Burger taking it to the next level with nFozzy and fleep. Hugely fun, challenging table.

The first comic book I bought with my own money was an issue of John Carter, Warlord of Mars. Since that day, I’ve always been a sucker for anything involving sci-fi and  fantasy on Mars. This Gottlieb table harkens back to that same feeling, AND knowing Gottlieb and their «rip-off» strategy, this more than likely was ment to be a John Carter of Mars table in the first place, so I’m not complaining.

Anyway, Mars God of War used to be one of those VPX tables that desperately needed a physics update, and now it has finally happened. The result is a superfun table with much better flow, where the 4 flippers finally makes sense and have a purpose. A HUGE thank you to @burger for this update!
