Thank you Goldchicco, 32assassin, Mfuegemann and Francisco666 for creating this table!

Devil’s Dare is a 1982 widebody pinball machine from Gottlieb known for its bold, arcade-style look and early use of synthesized speech. It’s a fast, challenging table with multiball action that helped bridge the gap between classic and modern pinball design.

  • I added nFozzy physics and Fleep sounds.
  • @studly_do_right added VR.
  • @teisenLighting, materials, inserts, bumpers, targets, spinner animation, shadows, and overall visual and environment enhancements.
  • @Cliffynew lockbar and desktop rails
  • thanks @Dicentim for DOF test
  • thanks @DGrimmreaper for updating the VR cabinet and backglass and adding VR animations
  • thanks @RajoJoey for the amazing VR cabinet assets!
  • thanks @hauntfreaks for backglass assets!

Enjoy!

Note: this is a widebody table, so in my opinion it shouldn’t fill the whole screen on a cabinet. Leave a few inches of black at the bottom (shrink it vertically) and scoot the table up towards the backglass. You won’t notice the empty strip at the bottom while playing because you'll be too busy enjoying a good aspect ratio.

Thanks for giving these older recreations much needed improvements in physics and sound. Astounding how many of these you are able to release. Huge thanks to Burger and fellow contributors (including the original creators!) - esp Teisen for the graphical improvements and Hauntfreaks for the pre-production BG. Fantastic that these tables are getting updates and a well-deserved fresh audience

Shoot captive cave..shoot captive pit..shoot spot targets..Yeah the Devil is certainly a demanding dude..lol.. You just gotta love early Gottlieb synthesized voices, and I´m so glad these original rom sounds can still be appreciated.  For the first time Devil's Dare kan now be played as it was back in the days. The inclusion of nFozzy physics is tuned to perfection, and gives you that wonderful early eighties feel. And the work that has been put into this recreation is just amazing. It looks and plays GREAT. You have done so many fantastic updates to some amazing tables lately @burger, and this is no exception. I really appreciate all the work and care you show for tables like Devil's Dare !!

Thanks Burger for updating this baby, these widebodies (more to come) ;) are awesome in VR. With your Fleep/nFozzy etc additions it was a no brainer trying to get this into a cab and a VR Room. Thanks to Sixtoe's and DaRdog's templates (and video) even a guy like me can easily add the cab and room. Like described above, in VR it's not authentic, but it's in a cab, a room and you can see your score :) oh, and it plays and sounds fantastic!! Thanks again and thanks to Goldchicco and team for the original version. I should add that I used a photo of Hauntfreak's 2 screen b2s for VR, so thanks for that.

Thank you very much Burger!! Giving you five stars before I even play it as all of your tables that you have recently released with nFozzy physics and Fleep sounds to are amazing! The VR team is on fire with all of their releases! They even look amazing on a 2k flat screen. I can't wait to join the VR world once PICO releases their new headset.
