"You have just crossed over... into the Twilight Zone"

Finally. Been a while coming hasn't it?

VPW are very proud to present Twilight Zone by Bally/Midway, arguably one of the best pinball machines ever made!

Niwak wanted to test the idea of making his "VPX Blender Toolkit" back in 2022, and decided to use Twilight Zone as his first experiment in importing and converting a VPX table, a screenshot was posted of the test render and everyone was, like, "ooooo".

However... The tools were in their infancy and Niwak wasn't happy with how the table looked in motion compared to real life, so decided to go and rewrite both pinmame and vpx so that it could do real fading PWM lighting and numerous other things.
While this was going on rothbauer and nfozzy looked at the physics and then Sixtoe rebuilt and simplified the table in VPX after we found the dimensions of the original table were incorrect.

The project then went on hold as we wanted 10.8.0 to stabilise as this table needed the new features to work properly, and we're happy enough with where VPX 10.8.0 RC4 is that we've now punted this out the door into your caring arms.

Make sure to check out the in game "F12" options menu for loads of fancy mods!

Amazing work! Looks and plays great. (better than a lot of in real life systems I have played) Performance is great on a 2K system with a Nvidia 3050. Top-notch guys. Thanks so much for the years of work!

I’ve only been apart of VPUniverse for a couple of years now, but this was the table I’ve been waiting for the entire time - what a thing of beauty! The lighting, the way the ball’s shadow dances around - it really is a sight to behold.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible, I can finally retire Ninuzzu’s (excellent) original table 🫡

Just as i was beggining to think the bar couldn’t be raised any higher it’s gone up again! This table is insane!

It obviously looks incredible, The lighting is as good as it gets! But it also plays just like the real thing! And the customisation of all the tables toys etc is the icing on the cake. Yet another amazing release! Fantastic stuff.

I like your work. Very amazing.

Only one question/note, the sound of bumpers is comming from backglass speakers. But everything is perfect, i realy thank you for your efforts.

Truly stellar.

I cannot imagine how VP can be any better than this. I play a real Bally TZ regularly, and with the GL64 version in 3D this is just as much fun.

Except for the color shift using red/cyan glasses everything pops! I've turned on all of the toys and mods, yet the table runs like butter. TZ is one of the deepest playfields in pinball, and that depth is absolutely present in the VPW game.

The wait was certainly worth it.  I can only dream of VPW getting their mitts on Medieval Madness someday.

Amazing update thanks to all involved

I remember back in the days when I started with VP. I always had the feeling that I have to make tables better. There was always something I didn't like. Graphics or Physics. That's why I started doing tables and tried to bring the best graphic and image quality paired with good physics.

My creator days are over and I just enjoy playing Pinball in VR. And with every VPW Table the bar raises. Everything is almost topnotch. I don't need to enhance or adjust things. They play perfect out of the box.

And this table is so unbelievably good. Hats of for this release.

The really only thing I don't like on the new VPW Tables is that the Playfield in VR is kind of unsharp. Everything is sharp with exception of the Playfield, since the Playfield image is not a single image anymore, it's included in a large Imagefile, which harms the render resolution.

Other than that a absolutely amazing release.

I cannot explain how awesome this is in VR!!!!!!! If you love playing VPins then you need to do whatever it takes to have a VR setup. Absolutely unbelievable.....

Effrit

Bravo, vous pouvez etre fier, le résultat est tellement !!!

bthlonewolf

Not sure how you keep raising the bar, but you find a way. Unreal level of detail. I owned a TZ for a long time and this feels exactly the same. Incredible!

LoadedWeapon

Amazing Job thanks to ALL that got it to this point!

Sinizin

I couldn't play the previous versions, but this has been a top 3 wished table for VPW to take on and it's more incredible than I'd hoped! T2 next? :)

CDRZ

Wowsers!! This table looks and plays incredibly well.
