Update 10/31/2024

Fixed a small glitch where if a high score is reached after the last ball has drained, the game is over and the Darth Vader high score video plays the theme music might continue to play.
Now the music should not continue to play.

The speed of the plunger should be speeded up just a bit.  I found the slow pull back agonizing.  You can easily change it to your liking of course.

LOVE this table, most especially because it features RX-24!

Response from the author:

Yep!  It wouldn't have been right to exclude Rex.  You know I would have heard about it if I had.🙂

Awesome table and pup pack, thank you! And thanks to Cliffy for his awesome Screen Res and PinUpPlayer.ini

Response from the author:

That looks great!  I actually have, but didn't include, videos I tweaked just for the desktop version.  Guess I'm gonna have to repost with those videos and include the desktop option.

Umm wow, this is completely amazing. The pup makes this game, and the pup makes it tough to play as I enjoy watching it. This is probably the best addition of a pup to a table I have seen. REALLY COOL! Great job.

Response from the author:

Thanks a lot!  Glad you are enjoying it.  I know exactly what you're talking about.  I built the thing and I still keep trying to catch the videos without losing the ball.

unfortunately mine has 2 screens and the backglass doesn't open until after the version for 2 screens arrives, eagerly waiting to see it on 2 screens, I'm waiting, thanks

Response from the author:

I'll get there.🙂  Since I finished(?) and posted the file I've come up with a list of things to do.  I just finished the desktop version and will now focus on the two screen and have to try and make it compatible with DOF.  Plus creating a some videos for a new Rebel Spy trigger.  The interest in this simple little table has far surpassed expectations and I want everyone interested to have the opportunity to enjoy it.  I'm hoping to get the two screen version ready in the next day or so.

Very well done and VERY nostalgic for me. I went to Disneyland my very first time and it was also the first year for Star Tours. I remember that experience like it was yesterday. Just standing in line was an experience! The atmosphere was so perfect. They went out of their way to make the entire experience incredibly immersive. As soon as the ride was over I dragged the wife and kids back around to get in line again!

This pup pack brings back great memories @kcirrick so thank you for that! It works just fine in desktop mode too as long as your b2s .res file matches the pinupplayer.ini and, of course, you will need PupDesktopPunch.exe, pupinit.bat and a pinupplayer.ini in the pup folder. I'm attaching mine here for those who would like yo use it on their desktop. Thanks!!

Getting kudos from you means a lot.  Thanks!  And thanks for the desktop tweak.  You're too  kind.

I'm kind of amazed with the response the table has gotten so far.  Really not what I expected.  Makes me feel bad that I posted it without 2 screen and desktop versions.  I'll have to get to work so I can post an update with all three options.

I got to ride Star Tours in the summer of 1987. Along with seeing my first 3D movie Captain Eo I was in heaven. You have captured the feel of the ride. This 2.0 update is fantastic. The table art is beautiful. The Pup videos brings me back to my youth and experiences taking my own kids. I love that you included the option to include our own photos to be the spy that Darth Vader is looking for. Thank you very much for continuing to elevate this vpin experience. Nice job

Response from the author:

Thanks for the great review!  Glad you are enjoying Star Tours, the great memories it brings back and the new ones it creates.  I hope more people are taking advantage of the rebel spy option.  I think it's a pretty fun and unique feature and it's my favorite update.

It's funny because I was just playing the old version last night and was thinking how it looked a bit old fashioned with the wood surround on the backglass etc and the small video screen... And here is a new version... which is much more elegant so thanks very much  kcirrick. I'm playing on a 2 screen cab and it worked perfectly out of the box, quite an achievement, thanks for continuing to update Star Tours, amazing work :)

Simple can often just be better, great concept for a table! Just great all around, thank you for making this!

Response from the author:

After doing a backglass for one table and a pup-pack for another table I was done.  Then, on a whim, my son suggested Star Tours and this is the result.  We can thank him.🙂

I’m a little late to the game here… no pun intended… but I didn’t even realize this table existed until just a few hours ago.  I’m so glad I found it.   Amazing work here!  It really brought back memories from the ride!  And the PuP Pack is outstanding!  Thank you for your work on this.

maybe we’ll get a Space Mountain table one day!

Response from the author:

Thanks for the kudos. This was actually fun to make. Don’t forget that you have the option of adding your own picture to the pup-pack so you can be the rebel spy Darth Vader is looking for.

This table is so much fun! Thank you for your hard work!

Response from the author:

Thanks!  It was fun to make too!

Cette table est une franche réussite, bien plus belle que la précédente,le pup et superbe même si ce n' est pas les images du film....c est toi qui a réalisé le pup en images de synthèse ?en tout cas chapeau !!!

merci beaucoup 😃👍

Response from the author:

Thank you for the great review.  Machwon was responsible for the majority of the table's new artwork and the updates gave me the incentive to make additional graphic improvements and to enhance the pup-pack.  Thanks for posting and I'm glad you're enjoying the table!

I love how the Pup pack is done as an overlay onto the b2s and full DMD.

That Full DMD is one of the best I have seen. Full of info, well layed out and great looking.

The theme is good fun, I wish I could have visited that theme park ride when I was a kid.

Gameplay is good but it would be great if  the Fleep sound package and Nfozzy physics could be implemented in the future to really lift the game.

I love your work! Thank you for sharing!

Response from the author:

Thanks for the great review!

Fleep and Nfozzy have not escaped me.  No guarantees, but they may show up should I decide to take on a future update.

Edit: Just watched your video.  Fantastic job showing off the game!

Wow what a great pup!!!  You did such an excellent job making this, the quality is just outstanding.

I really love the integration of Rex and how you kept the whole thing thematic to Star Tours.  It really takes me back to great memories of the happiest place on earth with my Dad.

Response from the author:

If you liked that get ready for 2.0.  It has a whole new look along with more videos and vocals.
