I solved this. My mistake when copying in the new Vpinmame, I didn't finish to copy, so I had some mixed version files. This is to help anyone in case they encounter the same issue.

I had this working, but now I get the following below. I am on VPX 10.8 RC 3.

Runtime error
-------------
Line: 365
Variable is undefined: 'vpmInit'

and the following compile errors show up in the script:

Compile error
-------------
Line: 325
Variable is undefined: 'LoadVPM'

Runtime error
-------------
Line: 365
Variable is undefined: 'vpmInit'

It event happens when I open VPX and try loading the table.

I had this problem too. Also on Jurrassic Park.

try removing your db2s backglass from your tables folder and launching the table again.

I found that if I removed db2s back glass for the table, then tried again it would launch, no problem.

All the db2s files I use are pretty heavy duty, good quality backglasses (which I appreciate).

I guess running a heavy duty table and a super backglass was just too much for VPX and my system to even launch.

I found if I replaced my db2s backglass with a simpler/smaller backglass this problem went away.

As much as I love super quality backglasses, I'd rather have a playable super quality table/playfield and a crappy backglass, than the other way around :)

I recently switched my cabinet from 1080p 3 screen to 4K 3 screen.  Loading this table on my 1080 setup was fine.  My new 4K playfield switches to 1080 resolution after the table loads and runs.  I am running Win10 home on an Intel i7 11th gen with a rtx 2070 super.  I have verified my settings in VPX running 10.8rc3.  It does this in both 32 and 64 bit VPX DirectX.  When I exit the table, my monitor switches back to 4K resolution.  Only seems to be doing it with this table/version so far.  Any ideas on what might cause this?  Thank you.

Delete your 'table name'.ini file. You'll have to reset your POV.

Bam! Worked!  Thanks so much.  I learned something new today and doubt I would have checked there right away.  I love this table.

Hello,

the pdf with the tutorial for optimizing the table is no longer in the downloaded zip, does anyone have it?

Howdy!

I installed the latest Baller Installer about a month ago, and just have a desktop setup. Fish Tales works fine, EXCEPT that when the ball drains, and it starts displaying the bonus score, the on-screen DMDs cut out like 1/3 the way through the bonus procedure and so I'm left listening but not seeing the bonus score add up and such. When the next ball starts the DMD resumes displaying as normal.

I tried different rom sets. I looked through the table script, hoping to find something that might indicate the DMD is getting turned off, but didn't see anything. I figured maybe the DMD is getting disabled at the same time all the table lights turn off during the bonus sequence... but I didn't find anything in the script explicitly proving it. I looked up videos online and didn't see other people having it, so I figure it must be my setup rather than a fault with the table.

This is the only table I have seen this behavior with (and I've downloaded about a dozen for my new installation on this relatively-new computer).

I'm finding this exact problem. Did you ever figure it out?
