I installed this and got the pup pack working, but my playfield is blank.  The objects are all present and the lights on the playfield are blinking, but the playfield is grey.

Any ideas?

It's working for me with vpx 10.7.4 74bit and 10.8 beta 1205 64 bit. My graphics card is an Nvidia gtx 1660 Super 6gb, nothing spectacular. What is your system?

should be fine. usually if textures are missing it means a bad download or insufficient memory. your video card is good enough, at least for desktop which is what I run. 64 bit vpx is always better with these heavily textured tables although it's working for me just fine with 32bit vpx 10.7.4 too. Try adjust the elements detail lower in Video Graphics Options

I got it working, but I'm not sure how or why. :)

You commented it could be a bad download, so I Dled it again and copied it over.  The background showed on the first run.  Then I edited the script to use pup packs and it no longer showed up.  Even after editing it back to where it started.

So I tried again, this time editing the script before running it.  Seems to work reliably now.  How strange.

Thanks for your help. :)

It's a known VPX bug where it runs out of memory and tries to downsize a texture image...but instead deletes it.  If you ever see it pop up, just close without saving the table and the image will still be present in the saved .vpx file.

The music filenames must match the text between the quotation marks in the script exactly.  I had to alter mine a bit.

Edit :PROBLEM SOLVED!!

As a noob I renamed with .mp3 at the end of the name of the song....

ex : "Carpenter Brut - BLOOD MACHINES OST - 01 Intro.mp3" instead of "Carpenter Brut - BLOOD MACHINES OST - 01 Intro" (without .mp3 in the name...)

Hi thanks for this nice table 🙂

I have exactly the same problem with the mp3 files, I can't hear the music.

The sound of the table work perfectly except the music...

I have exactly rename the the mp3 files as describes in the script

ex: I have renamed "intro.mp3" to     "Carpenter Brut - BLOOD MACHINES OST - 01 Intro.mp3"

the path in the script is also adapted to my hardisk d: where is my visual pinball file

line 213->     MusicDirectory = GetMusicFolder & "D:\Visual Pinball\Music\Blood Machines OST\"

If you have an idea to help me 🙂

Thanks a lot

This table is amazing!! Thanks so much!

I did notice one issue: the electricity effect when the ball gets spun around below the ship seems to be missing for me.

I have a full, fresh, 64-bit install of VP 10.8-beta5 (OpenGL for VR) with all the latest versions of VPinMAME 3.6, dmdext, FlexDMD, b2s, etc, etc... as of 8/17/2023

Any tips to try to troubleshoot?

Nice work here... just one question, is there any way to enable Free Play on this table? While I have a full suite of coin buttons on my cab, it's nice when I don't have to use them.

Did they ever answer this? I'm trying to set up a machine that actually doesn't have a coin button right now, so if there'd be any way to set up free play, I'd love it.

Cannot for the life of me get the DMD to show up on this table - tried following some guides, reinstalling Flex and Freezy, The Pup Videos are working, Backglass extension can work, just no Score Display. This is one of the only tables I cannot get the score to show up on either. Hopefully i'm not missing something extremely obvious in the script. Any ideas?

Excellent table.

Unfortunately, I can't get the directb2s file to work for this specific table. (other backglass files work fine for other tables)

I thought editing the script would help, but the script seems to have logic for it already, so I undid my changes.

Both files are named the same - "Blood Machines (VPW 2022) V1.21"

Any ideas what I'm missing?

I have a 3 screen setup, if it matters.
The table itself and DMD work just fine.

I'm wondering if you figured out the solution to this issue as I'm having the same issue and can't figure it out. All my other BGs work on every other table. I believe the lack of B2s is not allowing DOF to work for this table either. It all originally worked.

I've tried DL this table several different times, the b2s several times, i re-registered my BG server, I borrowed someone else's working table and it did the same thing. It's the only table that does this, and I'm not sure what else to do. Obviously it's something on my setup, just not sure how to diagnose it. I came today because I DL Die Hard Trilogy and I'm not getting any DOF on that table, even though I dl a new config. Wondering if there is something similar in the way they are coded, and my setup doesn't like it. Any and all help appreciated

Exact same for me..No DOF on Diehard or Blood Machines and Blood machines B2s won't load.  Every other table's Dof is working fine including 64 bit Big Bang Bar, etc.  I've tried everything you mentioned and also checked registry, rolled back Nvidia drivers,  set Nvidia control panel settings to defaults.  I'm updated to the latest on everything including the newer Bonanza? Baller update.  I'm at a loss and have been trying to get this solved for 4 days.  We must share a setting that's holding back DOF on these 2 tables.  I've refreshed the dofconfig files everyday but no luck.

I can't get the b2s file to run when table runs, the b2s is named the same as the table.

If i run the b2s file on its own it goes to the 2nd monitor fine.

I've tried changing one line in the script to Set Controller = CreateObject("b2s.server")

Changing the script made no difference.

when locking 3 balls in for MIMA Multiball, the "Mima Lock Ready" sound starts playing 3 times per seconds. Only the "Mi..." part of the sound is played before being replaced by the next one, resulting in an infinite "Mi Mi Mi Mi Mi" sound.

I'm running this table with the last standalone version of VPinball (under Linux). I added some logs in VPinball source code to try to understand the issue and can confirm it is the PlaySound method being called repeatedly from the table script.

Not known, but standalone is more picky so it could be a bug that Windows VPX just ignores.  You could post it as an issue on GitHub for the standalone team, they are better equipped to figure out what is causing it.

I'm having the same issue, as far as I can tell it's set up right but I must have done something wrong. It's only this table with this issue.
