Content Provider lucky1 Posted November 22, 2015 Author Content Provider Posted November 22, 2015 Nice idea ! I´m currently working on a picture upload routine to PIN2DMD maybe also video. By connecting 2 controllers to windows you can address them individually by using a slightly modified firmware and driver. You can scale that until you run out of USB ports.
vampirolatino2 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Question tiiiiiime. I have found new 1/8 scan panels. Do we can use it with this solution? Or they need to be 1/16?
Content Provider lucky1 Posted November 22, 2015 Author Content Provider Posted November 22, 2015 Currently only 1/16 is supported. Post a link please
evile Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 lucky1 how about driving mini tft screens also , for play field mods ??

Content Provider lucky1 Posted November 22, 2015 Author Content Provider Posted November 22, 2015 lucky1 how about driving mini tft screens also , for play field mods ?? Why not ? Everybody is invited to add the needed code to the project
evile Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 I ment that as your where saying add another for a picture routine , just opting instead of a matrix panel add a tft
vampirolatino2 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Hi lucky1, sure here are the link: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/wholesale-price-P5-SMD-Indoor-full-Color-LED-screen-Module-hub75-led-display-module/32327753200.html Do you think 1/8 refresh scan can be done, or it need a more powerful board? What about a bigger panel? I brought 2 new panels to form a 25" wide x 8" tall topper. Can wait to have all the things to start playing and tinkering.
Content Provider lucky1 Posted November 22, 2015 Author Content Provider Posted November 22, 2015 I ment that as your where saying add another for a picture routine , just opting instead of a matrix panel add a tft Do you think 1/8 refresh scan can be done, or it need a more powerful board? Both of this can surely be done, but it is definitely not in focus for our project which is colorizing pinball DMD output to a RGB LED Panel. However our code can form a good base for both and I meant it honest that everybody can take and modify it for his personal private project. We definitely don´t have the time for that right now. Here is a good sample project for TFT with a STM32F4 http://stm32f4-discovery.com/2014/04/library-08-ili9341-lcd-on-stm32f429-discovery-board/ http://mikrocontroller.bplaced.net/wordpress/?page_id=744
vampirolatino2 Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Understood 100% my friend. I'm not saying to derail from the main focus, it's just sharing ideas in the table. Good to know it can be done, so any attacking it can know it's just possible. Thanks for the links!
Content Provider lucky1 Posted November 23, 2015 Author Content Provider Posted November 23, 2015 But why don´t you take these http://de.aliexpress.com/item/Indoor-P5-1-16-Scan-SMD3528-3in1-RGB-Full-color-LED-display-unit-module-160-160mm/1606706094.html
vampirolatino2 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Daaaaaamn that is cheap! Nice find!!
hauntfreaks Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 nothing special in this video... just proof that even my dumb ass can get it working...lol
Jafjas Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Aaaaaaah so cool! I just can't wait to get my hands on this thing! My question: Is the standard brightness bright enough for a room with normal lighting? Has somebody already changed the brightness? Thanks for the vid. Jasper
gStAv Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Looks super tight, nice stills in the end Did you frame it or just linedi it up for the shoot?
zanyt13 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 The topper idea is really cool! About the size of the LED panels....as i can see and after some measuring, the visible area is almost exact the same as a Vishay panel.
evile Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 You would need 4 of the http://de.aliexpress...1606706094.htmlpanels
Content Provider lucky1 Posted November 23, 2015 Author Content Provider Posted November 23, 2015 or 2 of those http://de.aliexpress.com/item/A-Indoor-320-160mm-32-16pixels-3in1-1-16-Scan-Indoor-SMD3528-3in1-RGB-full-color/32398158404.html I used them for testing in the beginning of this project
