WOW looks awesome!

Update for my PreOrder round #1:

Everbody get allready the eMail that the PCB needs a small MOD to use the PinDMD Socket as input and output!

It was a real bad timing, 24 hours after i placed my order, Lucky1 and Steve45 found out, that the MISO/MOSI Wires are not correct connected to the Header and the STm32 Board.

I was not able to chancel the PCB production, so i decieded to use them.

The most guys from the Order will never use the PinDMD, but for the reason, that anyone wants it, i release here the PDF with the change.

Here a picture how it looks after the mod (only 3 wires and 3 cuts on the PCB)

Pin2DMD MOD for rev 1.1

I´m really sorry for this mod... but i was out of my hands and i make this preorder to help everybody and not to make money.
Please don´t be mad with me.

IMHO this mod is not necessary since we changed pins on the software side.

No need to change MISO and MOSI by jumper. Just leave it on PA5 / PA7

EDIT 11-11-2015:
No longer needed!
Lucky1 changed the Software allready and everything is OK!
Just leave the Jumper in position from Pin1 to Pin2, like in this picture:

best regards
Sascha

If I understand this correctly...

I am going to install one kit in a real pinball for a test and that is what this modification is needed for? Installing in real pinball machine? Or am I wrong?

You have to make sure that PA7 and PA5 is connected to the 14 Pin header.

This is working for Input modes (WPC/STERN etc) and output mode where

a standard pinball dmd is attached to the interface. PA6 is not needed.

OK.

Sounds good for me.

The MOD  is not needed, but when the MOD is already added to the PCB is that also No Problem.

INFO:

leave the Jumper from Pin1 to Pin2.

Sweet!

how important is it to flash the newest FW from GitHub later on?

Will it be annoncend here if it's new fetures added?

Flashed the latetst PIN2DMD-master_11-10-2015

i think is the newest at this moment :D

And well, they work every day on these Project...

So i think, when you are use it within a real Cab., it sound more important.

But I´m sure that Lucky1 will annonce that here, when they make big changes in the FW

Big changes ? Every day ! The changes can be seen here

https://github.com/lucky01/PIN2DMD/commits/master

PinMame support seems to be in a stable state unless steve

comes up with something new :D

I´m currently working on 3 different things.

- WPC support (voluntaries needed for testing)

- Stern support (voluntaries needed for testing)

- support for Steves Editor (want to test myself when finished B) )

I will connect both usbs in my cab and install the ST-Link utility to upgrade.

http://www.st.com/web/en/catalog/tools/PF258168

No need to install CooCox in the cab.
