TT11 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Also on WinXP and getting the same "check ROM path" error even though Vpinmame setup.exe will run the DMD OK and the table loads into the editor fine. Even after the error I get a nice fullscreen playfield image and the B2S Server backbox image. Damn.....!! Other VP10 tables are fine (NBA FastBeak, Bugs Bunny, T2 etc.) Have tried various VP10 beta's also. Downloaded the ROM from Stern's site, renamed it, cleared NVRAM and Registery entries etc. etc....... I did also change back to VPinMame backglass and can now at least run the table. Then it brought up the error again and then on a 3rd attempt it ran. So whilst it's working I will just use a static backglass. The sound in this ROM is pretty poor, compared to tables like AC/DC ........ But looks very nice at least...
Content Provider arngrim Posted August 31, 2015 Content Provider Posted August 31, 2015 you installed the sam.vbs?
TT11 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Using unified sam.vbs version 2.12 from about June 2015.
Content Provider arngrim Posted August 31, 2015 Content Provider Posted August 31, 2015 test your rom outside vp, in setup.exe of vpm, test to see if it is a rom issue
karlson18 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 On my setup the rom works in the setup of vpm. TT11 said "getting the same "check ROM path" error even though Vpinmame setup.exe will run the DMD OK"
DozerAUS Posted August 31, 2015 Author Posted August 31, 2015 It seems to have something to do with windows xp?. I'm sorry I can't help you out with this. I'm running Win7 64.
jukedock Posted September 4, 2015 Posted September 4, 2015 My game starts - however I launch one ball, and after 5 seconds another ball is in the outlane.Weird.2nd ball sometimes puts 2 in the outlane.Tryed the old 'B' key to see if I can take a ball out the trough but nothing even came up on the screen. Anyway of totally resetting a game? I have to make sure I am using the LE rom... will report back if that changes anything.
karlson18 Posted September 5, 2015 Posted September 5, 2015 Yes seems something to do with Windows xp upgraded my cab to Windows 7 64 and the table works fine. Only in multiball there seems to be some invisble walls or somthing. Thanks to all.
jukedock Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I deleted everything, edited the rom out registry. Redownloaded everything and it now works.Perhaps the WIP version (the old VP9 version) threw in some conflicts. This is a fantastic looking and playing game.I just wish american voice over artists could actually sound british !
ClarkKent Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 Great table! I suddenly like to play a Stern table! Nevertheless I get heavy ball stutter at multi ball. I read over at the other forum that the ball collision script is the problem. When using the latest one from JP even multi ball should be fluid...
umpa Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Finally tried this out. So good thank you Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
lodger Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 Having a weird issue where after 2 seconds of gameplay, the ballsave is triggered and kicks a second ball out... is anyone else having this issue?
stevegooner123 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Thanks Dozer ,great table ,really showing off what VP10 can do. Has anyone created a video with audio playfield flv preview of this by any chance?
jbg4208 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Thanks Dozer ,great table ,really showing off what VP10 can do. TT11 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I noticed when I moved to the latest VPX beta (2279 at this time) that Mick's head gets chopped off (across his forehead) on the moving target. Going back to my previous VPX beta and his head is showing again. This is a pity as the latest beta allowed for reflections on the playfield for me without losing the whole playfield to a black blob......
DozerAUS Posted November 4, 2015 Author Posted November 4, 2015 Select the Mick_Prim model in the editor and in the options dialog, change the Z base position to 100 and the Z size to 100. This should fix him in the latest beta.
tonythewrench Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Keith's head gets completely chopped off for me as well as the Mick issue with the newer VP10 revisions...oldest version without issues that I have is revision 2266
TT11 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Need to select the Keith primitive model in the editor and in the options dialog, change the Z base position to 275 and the Z size to 275 (or thereabouts)
rtl19 Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Hi, Sorry if this is a dumb question. I download the official release of VPinballX (vp10) and then installed v1.3 of this table. For some reason it doesn't display in cabinet mode, only desktop. I even checked the box that said 'rotate for cabinet'. What am I missing?
stefanaustria Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 You have to uncheck the box "use DT" ( in Editor, click on Backdrop, at Options Window)
imagamejunky Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I would love to try this table. However it won't load a ball into the trough. I've tried both the pro and the le roms. I'm running all of the latest files. I've deleted the nvram. I'm lost here. This is the only VPX table that won't run on my cab. Anyone else see this? I did a search and didn't find an answer. Thanks in advance. EDIT I figured it out. I changed the scatter angle from 0 to 10 on the kicker. Now the ball loads into the trough. Cool table! Thanks again Junky
