freezy Posted April 11, 2025 Author Posted April 11, 2025 Thanks! ♥️ Working on the plastic ramp now. The remodeling is done, and I’ve also finished redrawing the sticker. Next up is modeling and texturing the switch. Many thanks to @g5k for continuing to supply me with those odd-angled shots of his real T2!
freezy Posted April 13, 2025 Author Posted April 13, 2025 Some progress, will hopefully post more tomorrow!

freezy Posted April 13, 2025 Author Posted April 13, 2025 Okay, so I've added the remodeled plastic ramp, the habitrails and the two switches on the ramp. Took the opportunity to create a prefab for the micro switches, now the next step is to animate them properly when a ball passes through!
Dariusz75 Posted April 13, 2025 Posted April 13, 2025 I bet once free camera mode is added some people will spend more time admiring the tabletop pieces than playing.😃
LynnInDenver Posted April 13, 2025 Posted April 13, 2025 OK, be honest, you've been slowly reassembling a real machine and that's what we're seeing. 😁 (just kidding, looks very good.)
Tengri Posted April 13, 2025 Posted April 13, 2025 Totally insane! I'm just going to go ahead and make a completely unrealistic request — probably way too early... (hehe..) I don't want the T2 preview in plain old 'regular' 3D, I want it straight in stereoscopic 3D, so I can enjoy it on my cab even more realistically and get the full "WOW" effect!
Harley-Boy Posted April 13, 2025 Posted April 13, 2025 Oh my God ! 🤩 What !? Is that even possible ? Wow, I'm blown away What a professional job ! 💯
tinyhorsesinmytea Posted April 13, 2025 Posted April 13, 2025 Wow, this looks incredible. Probably going to be some time before I can run this in VR on a computer and headset capable enough to do it justice but it’s nice seeing where the future of digital pinball is headed!

And to think that it was created by a few passionate people who put professional development studios like Fairsight or Zen to shame.
freezy Posted April 13, 2025 Author Posted April 13, 2025 To be fair, Zen has different requirements from ours. We don't need to build for a gazillion of platforms or support decade-old hardware...

I have to honestly thank Farsight for getting me into the hobby in the first place, as before playing the Williams collection on the Wii I thought pinball was just about keeping the ball in motion and looking at the pretty lights. Moved over to FX3 when they lost the licenses and thought it was alright (if expensive with the company wanting me to buy tables again and again) but yeah… I was very disappointed when they revealed the current FX as it honestly doesn’t look or play much better than the last iteration. There’s no going back from what this community does trying to simulate pinball as realistically as possible, and I love that VR is pretty much universally supported… as there’s no going back to playing on a flat screen for me either. Hah. I do wish Zen success in bringing more people into the hobby and into pinball arcades but I’m personally kind of done with their platform.

It was Amtex Eight Ball Deluxe that got me seriously into virtual pinball. I mean Pinball Construction Set on my Commodore 64 was just ok but nothing remotely like the real thing- which Amtex was able to do so much better back then
Dariusz75 Posted April 13, 2025 Posted April 13, 2025 (edited) I used to play a lot Pinball Arcade and Pinball FX3 and thought it was good and then i discovered VPX and i stopped playing PA and FX. But earlier there was very good Pro Pinball games with great physics and gfx. Edited April 13, 2025 by Dariusz75

Had to wait a few years for the first betas of Visual Pinball and the bridge to PinMAME. My! How things have changes in 25 short years!
