The new version can be downloaded from https://pinemhi.com/

I would recommend to overwrite all files on previous install , maybe rename your old pinemhi.ini first to have the paths and user and code easily copied to the new pinemhi.ini file (and other settings of course)
You should only copy the values from your old pinemhi.ini as there are new settings that need to be in there

Also don't forget to stop pinemhi_rom_monitor before you overwrite the files
Leave the rom section in the new pinemhi.ini intact as this has been altered to work with the newer version of vpinmame as well

Important !
Submitting a score can now be done in game using a button/key of your choice or f3 (vpinmame reset).
Best way to do that is after a complete game played.
When you do it in the middle of a game you can get pinball missing message starting a new game.
If you get a lot of missing pinball messages even after completed games revert to the old method (exiting a game)

I must have done sth wrong, sorry.

I copied all the fies on the existing folder, just changed the pinemh.ini file as recommended, any help? thx!

Hi makmak.

 

Where did you get the error message from? (pinemhi, pinemhi leaderboard or pinemhi_rom_monitor)

Did you copy the settings from the previous pinemhi.ini (just the above part into the new one) ?

You should ony copy the settings , not the entire bit as some settings are new...so just the values of them should be copied

 

Did you stop pinemhi_rom_monitor before you copied over the existing files?

 

Atlantis doesn't show up because no one scored points on it yet

Oops, I have copied the whole part not just the entries/values. ...

 

My guess was, Atlantis should show up in the list of games that i have not played yet.

Ive carefully changed the settings, it seems like its working now but it does not send new scores. Do I need to reregister or sth? But it still shows all my older scores.

Whirlwind ROM is still not working, shows no scores at all (whirl_l3, for other players its working obviously). Strange. Now back to 3.6.1 again,lol.

It looks like you already found a solution as i see scores for whirlwind on your name

 

Best solution is this, i posted that on the other site

 

"If anyone is having problems with setting scores on Whirlwind, just add this to the pinemhi.ini under [romfind]
Whirlwind (LA-3)=whirl_l3.nv

 

I already fixed it in the download, so shouldn't happen to newly downloaded pinemhi & pinemhi leaderboard v3.6.2"

tried romless Batman66 but somehow my score is not submitted,but highscores and such shows up as expected.  romsub.exe is inside tables folder. user path leads to my vpinball folder (tried tables folder as well)..

There is a new file batman66.pmh inside the user folder. Any additional hints? thx!

Hi makmak

It seems that i am the only one that can send scores with the rom-less games (on 2 different pc's). 🤔

Several others have mentioned it.

Not sure why that is but working on it to fix the issue

 

LordTheRon is helping out with some testing , he also has the same problem

I would stay away from the rom-less games for the time being (not if you want to play it of course but more if you expect to see the scores on pinemhi leaderboard )

I've tried to install Newst version , it didn't work, i had to come back at previous version. Probably because i run VP10.7.0

 

Nevertheless, the current weekly challenge "motordome" looks to don't get my score, as  from anyone. Rom used is well "motrdome"

Update to 10.8 quickly anyway!!! Its worth it, its easy and lots of stutter went away on my outdated system.

I also have some tables/roms that dont work somehow, but who cares, there are only a few...  as for Motordome: the last time i was playing it (2024-11-16), my score was submitted...

torpedo Alley Scores are submitted wrong, had a phenomenal 10.193.800 pts, but it submitted 193.800, lol. we should not go over 9.999.999 pts i guess?? 😉

Anyone else having problems with challenges? I started and fulfilled a kiddie challenge (fish tales 300.000.000)  score was submitted correctly, but it says i failed :-(. Merry Christmas nevertheless!

Sorry for the late response

Works as designed unfortunately...score can only get to under 10 million

It does a roll-over to 0 after you reach 10 Million.
Just as the real pinball cabinet would do

 

As for the kiddie-challenges , i still have no idea why it is misbehaving

Not getting any signs that it happens with other users

 

Thankfully you do get to the next levels, already on level 38 I see

Hi dna, thx for your help. In fact, the monitor says i failed after the time period of the actual table/level, no matter what my highest score was. BUT, if my score was higher, i can go on to the next level, although it says i had failed, immediately (without waiting for three days). If i failed, everything works as expected/intended incl. a waiting time of three days.

In the leaderboard, my new reached level does not show up until i started the next challenge.

So, not a big problem at all if you know how to deal with it 😉

I must say, some of the kiddie challenges or no way "kiddie" 😉 and seem to be harder than some of the leaderboard challenges...puuh.

At the moment I am at level 41, needing 15.000.000 pts on Roller Coaster, which is no joke (esp. if you dont like that machine at all, as i do ;-).

But theres sth. strange: there are 10 players above level 40, but looking at the high scores of rollercoaster, there are only 6 players ever scored more than 15.000.000 pts. How comes? Did you change the needed pts at some time?

At the request of some players i removed all the older scores (most made in vp9 , same were as old as 2011) from the database

People who have done the challenge a long time ago have made it but their scores aren't in the database anymore

No changes in the score have been made  i'm afraid , you have to get the 15M

Wouldn't be fun if they would all be a walk in the park now would it

 

And believe me leaderboard challenges are way harder

Scores from safecracker are never submitted, neither regular nor 5 minute mode. One of just a few roms (i checked i use the right ones, maybe it hast to do with 2  separate roms needed?). Last submitted score of this rom is quite old (2023), maybe this issue lasts for some time already?

If you upgrade from version 3.6.3 then you don't have to overwrite your pinemhi.ini
Upgrade from earlier version(s) than 3.6.3 should overwrite their pinemhi.ini and copy the values back into it as changes have been made to pinemhi.ini

Best is to make a backup from your old pinemhi.ini so that you can copy the values into the new pinemhi.ini

nope, mine is also on D drive and it works

 

Did you read the instructions on the page?

Make sure romsub is in the table dir

and make sure user dir has been entered in pinemhi.ini

 

have you checked user dir for an entry.... ?

anything in pinemhi leaderboard log regarding the 2 games?

Did the games actually work before you inserted the code in the table script?

Did you place it in the right places, did you copy everything from the 2 segments?

are you using the new version 3.6.4 ?

 

It's difficult to figure out why something doesn't work when you don't provide any info but just say it's not working
