Never Tell Me The Odds! -  V-Pin Workshop proudly presents Star Wars from Data East.

This popular Data East table was built in a 3D renderer by Dids666 when he decided to update his old table to a full rendered version, when that was complete we worked to bring it to life with all the normal VPW bells and whistles, including some fun VR stuff.

Enjoy!

Looks absolutely fantastic... Originally froze on me- just be sure you are using 107 and not 104

Both versions (VPX and VR) look, play and feel great. Note to any VR users, 360 room #1 has the table sitting on a pretty steep angle (like the previous version), using any of the other five 360 rooms the table sits at a much more level angle. Thanks for sharing team, your time invested is once again appreciated.

Ok i'm stumped here, i've got every other VPW table to work, accept this one, the table loads the rom loads but the table is missing some textures, and i get a warning as it loads that they are missing and not to save it like that or it will ruin the table,   is there a trick to this one?

Thanks for your work on this classic table. Works fine for me with (only) the Unofficial stwr_107.zip rom-set.

impressive...... most impressive 😃

my favorite detail are the light reflections at the bottom of the ramp. That's insane !! Also this table looks so sharp it's almost like real in VR !

Love the artwork but it seems not to work with me. however i have the solution. look for the comments in the athor 1.07 version it is missing some files that you can download from the 1.06 rom. if you copy these four files in the rom it's workes great. i have now a fully working table.

Response from the author:

This is nothing to do with this VPX download, it's a problem with your vpinmame rom file.

It took me a while to get into this table mainly due to the the playfield's cartoon style artwork.  Nothing against it, just with my old PC I can't really set the textures past 4096 so it all looks a little blurry in places

Anyway, I've given this table some proper play time recently and its absolutely fantastic.  The LUTs help with making the playfield look crisper and I'm now really into this table.  The colourised DMD also goes along way to increase the immersion.

Definitely the best Star Wars table IMHO and yet another VPW masterpiece.  Loving your DE recreations - great job guys, you rock

Amazing!  i have spent a lot of time playing this table as a kid, it plays almost like the  real one with all the tricks. I just can't remember one thing, is the ball supposed to be standing still when it just barely goes up the ramp, when there is not enough push to go through? It just stays up the ramp balanced and won't move until you nudge the table. I kind of have some memories of that on a real table, but i am not sure...that table had problems from time to time. It happens on this table though from time to time. Does anyone have real table to confirm or remember simmilar thing? Is it design flaw by data east?

There are quite a few Star Wars tables out there -- this is my favorite.  The table itself is really fun to play.  The shots, the callouts, all the licensed content.  The table implementation is excellent:  it has VR, great sounds and great physics.

This is the table you are looking for.
