Star Wars (Data East 1992) VPW

Never Tell Me The Odds! -  V-Pin Workshop proudly presents Star Wars from Data East.

This popular Data East table was built in a 3D renderer by Dids666 when he decided to update his old table to a full rendered version, when that was complete we worked to bring it to life with all the normal VPW bells and whistles, including some fun VR stuff.

Enjoy!

The table looks fantastic on me. However, the plug does not appear to be plugged in. The lights are off and the DMD is not visible.

Make sure you have stwr_104.zip, stwr_106.zip, and stwr_107.zip in your rom folder; 107 is a fan patch, 106 is the final patch, and 104 has the files to actually run the game.

I've tried this, and still end up in the same situation.  No lights, no DMD appearing on 10.6.

Is there something else I might be missing?

My bad, I missed one file when I was looking at it.  stwr_104 is needed first, 106 and 107 are in addition to that.

Hey guys I love your work, I  noticed that one of the lights does not work even when you do the lamp test,  it is the plunger at l31. This worked with the previous version of this table and on real tables out in the wild.  Also I have cleaned up the playfield some more if you would like it.
cheers

Is swtr_106 available on vpuniverse?  Looks like that's the one I'm missing to get this working.  Sorry if that's a dumb question, but I'm pretty new to Vpin.

No dumb questions!  They're named in full, unlike most roms, so had to search "Star Wars" in content titles and go to the last page.

For the DMD issue, I made Hidden = 0 and the DMD showed up.  (I play on 2 computer screens)

Good evening from Scotland. This is the first table I have added and all

works except the back glass I added via media manager in pin up popper config disappears when the game starts.  Do I need to do something special for back glass to remain visible. Thank you very much for your hard work - 4 weeks ago I hadn’t heard of virtual pinball and now playing awesome tables in my house (on ALP).

Popper media is separate from the backglass during play.  You'll need the b2s file placed in the same folder as the table file.  (I'm assuming you installed using Baller, which will have the b2sserver software set up and ready to go)

Marvellous - thanks very much that solved it. I think what confused me was media manager and thinking I could just pick a back glass from the web search results. Appreciate your help.

I only needed the Unofficial v1.07 rom (stwr_107.zip).

After patching STARCPUA.103 (from v1.03 rom-set) rename to STARCPUA.107 before copying back into stwr_107.zip.
Only one STARCPUA.* file should be contained in stwr_107.zip.

I used HauntFreaks Full-DMD B2S

Looks fun!... but manually patching a rom and creating a 1.07 version is beyond me.   Is there a place where I can get stwr_107.zip?  I found 1.04 and 1.06 but 1.07 doesn't seem to be around.

I got 104, 106, 107 in my VPXZ bundle.
launching gets me this in the log:

Runtime error: Line: 3780, Character: 2, Description unavailable

Got the current iOS standalone. Any ideas what’s going on?
