This version (1.1d) was lifted from my cabinet and has been adjusted along the way. I can't recall what has changed since 1.1c which was the version out there.

 

This Terminator 2 build was the start for me in vpx authoring. I had an idea to do it differently back in 2018 and use ray traced baked lighting...and feck me – it worked! The backglass I made from photos I took from a real one. Originally hosted on the now defunct Monster Bash Pincab. DJRobx helped out with implementing code for SSF and Ninuzzu added the laser mod. Also special mention to nFozzy and his version that was around at that time which I used to help learn how it all worked.

 

I've been reluctant to upload my work  because I don't have the time to support it. I love this game and it plays so close to the real table I have in my studio. 

 

I've been on a lengthy hiatus, King Flupper and the VPW guys are inspiring to watch. Hopefully some time next year to dip the toes back in the water.

This is an update pulled together by the VPW guys, they've implemented a lite update to bring this old girl up to speed. Working with the original build and 3D bake it now has all that can be squeezed in here without a ground up rebuild. Thank you so much guys on behalf of the community.

' 1.16 - Sixtoe - Split GI and hooked up correctly, added flupper pop bumpers, changed pf image for unlit version, added PF GI overlay for left and right sides, added dark overlay for when pf GI is off, upped depth bias on flashers to punch through dark overlay, needs testing
' 1.17 - Sixtoe - Modified sling plastics from clark kent, rebuilt sling areas, flippers and adjusted prims and physics objects as they were all in the wrong place, added a few more reflection lights, fixed overbright autofire flasher, removed reference to old rails, made visual playfield mesh non-collidable (a toy)

' 1.20 - Various tweaks, adjusted flippers and associated areas.

' 1.24 - Sixtoe - Numerous tweaks, trimmed GI, bumped up saturation on some plastics, numerous physics tweaks, increased PF friction, normalised playfield slope, fixed flipper triggers, probably more stuff I forgot.

Yes, yes, YES!!! 

G5k was and always has been the absolute pinnacle of lighting and table design before vpw decided to take steroids and get into blender. When I first saw T2 after starting up my vpin setup years back I took a glimpse at what was possible beyond pinballfx, when the mind of the dedicated fan gets busy. 
and now we get this update, and its amazing, and christmas is saved, and joy to the world :)

Wow! what a great update to g5k's original work by VPW! The new physics together with all the tweaks and updates are so great! With g5k's pre rendered visuals (how far ahead of time was he!) this is an absolute winner!

Thank you so much for sharing this labor of love with us. This will see hours of gameplay over Christmas!

I've wanted an update to this table for so long that I can't believe it's really here and just in time for Christmas!!! My first ever pinball machine I loved  at my first job at a bowling alley. g5k killed it with this, but it was due for some updates and this makes me happier than anything I've seen on here. Update v1.25 is fantastic, the table looks, plays and feels great and the VR Room is very cool, it's a bigtime showpiece now, not that is was bad before the update :) . Thanks to all involved.

Simple and great table. 

 

Update: Played a few games and I was jumping around , twisting my body making slap saves etc.. damn!! it REALLY brought back the experience of playing the real machine from back in the day! WOW!

 Fantastic implementation. Thanks @g5k and the others who supported this project !
