Trail Drive from Bally.  This game comes with an animated backbox to "Shoot the Cat."  Apparently, a wildcat is threatening to attack the herd of cattle you (a cowboy) are driving along the trail.

The goal is to hit all of the targets to spell TRAIL DRIVE.  The targets can be hit in any order (Unlike Expressway for example, where they must be hit in order).  Once TRAIL DRIVE is spelled out, the SPECIAL light alternates between the two outlanes.  Hitting the top saucer will earn 300 points or 3,000 points if you hit the "increase value" rollover first.  Hitting the left saucer will earn 5,000 points.  Hitting either saucer will trigger the backbox animation.

The backbox is very similar to the one on Bally's Cow Poke.  I looked at what was done for that VPX table and used the same technique.  I'm glad somebody already figured out a way to do it.  If you just want to watch the animation, I set the 0 key to trigger it for testing.

I learned how to create transparent holes (thanks Teisen!), but my artwork isn't 100% perfect.  Any help is appreciated!

This is a "0.x" release - so expect some bugs and please let me know so I can fix them.

*No wildcats or cattle were harmed during the recreation of this table.  One of the Cowboys bent his hat. 😉

Thanks for this, very nice, and I love the Backglass Animation toggle, always so hard to see when you're playing.

Love this table thanks! Is it possible to make it 3 balls per game in the script?

Response from the author:

If you hit F12, on page 3 of the options, there is a setting for 3 ball or 5 ball.  That won't update the card on the game apron - so that will still say 5 balls for 25 cents.
