Pinball Wizards are proud to present to you an original concept based off the PC game Darkest Dungeon. This pinball table provides a combination of pinball, RPG with heavy RNG (random number generation) elements. Virtually every game will be different from the last . Herbski1x and I would like to thank all those that helped us get this game developed/polished and presented to the community. 

 

 

 

Please take some time to read the provided rules as this game has a rather complex ruleset. 

 

Notes

Rulecards are also available in game by selecting the addcredit key -- this can only be done when a ball is sitting in the plunger lane and only one ball is on the table.

 

Some LUTS are available via the normal method of holding down the left magna save while hitting the right magna save to bring up the menu. This can only be changed prior to the game starting and will automatically be saved.

Hello, I have installed the table and it works just fine. The only issue is that once I start a game, the playfield is very dark and I can barely see anything, even though it is well lit before starting the game.

I have tried changing the "darkness" values in the script, but it doesn't change anything.

Did you guys run into the same issue?

anybody else experiencing odd DOF behavior with this game? when i press the coin button it sets off my knocker and after about thirty seconds of play my shaker motor comes on and stays on any ideas? thanks

This is a really complex game and really well done. The artwork is terrific. I just played the new Dungeons and Dragons Stern, so was super excited to try this one. Same style of table. Love it so far.

Amazing table! 😍

 

I was having serious FPS drops and lag in my very humble PC but I deleted "apron_left.mp4" and "apron_right.mp4"  in the "PUPVideos\DarkestDungeon\Apron" folder and now my FPS are back to normal.

 

I guess my PC can't handle 3 1080p videos running at the same time. Still, every time another video from the "Apron" folder gets activated, the frames drop, but not as much. Could it be possible to replace all the "Apron" videos for static images to make the table lighter?

 

BTW, before deleting the apron_* files, I tried all the possible PUP packs and all of them had the same terrible framerates.

Hello,

Does someone find the solution for two balls in the launcher in the same time ? Each game I have two balls in the launcher starting with the second ball or sometimes at the third.  I use  Darkest Dungeon pupevent_2.3c.vpx file, pupack and 10.8 final.

Beautiful...but why often I have 2 balls in the launcher ? (expecially at the start of the 2nd or 3rd ball...) I don't understand if it is something about the rules or if it is a bug....last things , some missions or boss have no lights to hit so I don't know what I have to do or hitting some lit arrows it seems it doesn't give any progress.... about physics I think the table needs an "heavy" feeling ball (at the moment it seems to play with  the gumball of TZ)

appreciate the feedback the 2 balls is odd, Table has been around for years and not seeing that issue reported before. The same with lights, I feel you are just missing something, be sure to read the rules its an incredibly deep ruleset.. you can make adjustments to weighting to your liking that is a personal choice. This is tuned to the 90s standards of nFozzy physics. If you can provide some video details of the multiple balls in the plunger lane let me know.. be sure its not related to the highwayman perk which will allow you the option to either keep that ball in the lane or add it as a multiball.. My guess is that is what is happening to you.. The 13 pages of rules go through the different player perks, dungeon objectives, party gathering and items collection.. alot to take in.

im having an  issue where when i start "the weald" the ball the table lights and the entire field ALL flicker constantly through the whole mode basically on/off flickering. is there a way to reduce the amount? it makes it almost painful to look at

Any way to increase the volume on this one? I can't seem to find an option and it's pretty quiet for me unless I crank my main volume way up.

Just a question, what is considered a slow CPU for VPX these days?
Its single core speed? its generation? Is there a minimum cpu/gpu combo?

Graphically speaking, I know my rtx3080 is not enough with the reflections on in VR so I wish there would be a way to disable them globally or easy script fix to disable them on table load. 

I know, VR is niche but I still rather ask since the NO is always certain :)

I love this table but I'm worried about not being able to play V3 because of this :(

Firstly, this table is awesome.

The setting is cool, the graphics are cool, the physics are cool and the rules are fine.

 

But I have the constant (extreme) flickering, too.

For me, this problem shows up in "The Ruins" and "The Weald".

"The Cove" is fine.

 

I use the table in the version 2.3c and Visual Pinball 10.8.0 Final.

 

Is there any solution for this issue?

 

@theguy333 Have you been able to solve this annoying issue?

Wow! looking forward to trying this out.  

The game is so totally new it seems, perhaps it should have been labeled as a sequel ! :)
