After being lost in the fog of Silent Hill 2 remake for a few weeks... I'm getting back to working on MOTU CE. This video is just a quick demo of using some of PUP 1.5's new features with alpha png and label movement, gradients, etc.

To be clear, there is NO video animation (for now).

This is simply a still background. Everything that moves are single png images (with alpha blending, shadows, etc). PUP 1.5 lets you move any image label super easy and do some basic animated effects like "move and fade", "wiggle", etc. So some of the moving text is a png image being moved by pup, some is just normal PUP text being moved. You can combine both together, such as the bumper splash effects (which show the player's faction crest pop on and the bumper score flying up and fading away, etc). I use this stuff for quick / basic things like bumpers, slings, kickback, etc. LOTs to do still, but glad to be back at it.

Looks great.  Plenty of life in the animations.

Glad to hear you are back to the important stuff!  :P Looking forward to THIS and your Silent Hill table, I know the ladder of the two is pretty far out still.

Good news! I am almost done the PinEvent / PUP portion of MOTU CE (for Future Pinball-BAM) and getting close to the final stretch. My "hope" is to have the game mostly complete before I leave to visit family for the holidays next week. When I come back, I hope to finalize things and have it ready for release before XMAS, or at the very latest before New Years! Keep an eye out for a full update coming soon!

For now... here's a rolling demo of the attract mode and the new PUPDMD display (which also has HOW TO PLAY instructions!) Yes, you are seeing that right... the playfield art and RAM-IT! insert had a major update, again.

WORK IN PROGRESS

New (last) feature: PSA Videos and finalized PUPDMD preview!

==============================

OK... so here wo go. My FINAL feature added to MOTU CE! What else could the big bad world of grumpy boomer pinball players need? Why, authentic 80's PSA videos that's what!

You read that right. At the end of each game, you get to watch the original 80's MOTU "Life Lessons" videos to sort out your miserable existence and make you a nicer pinball player! You can skip the video instantly by holding both flippers... or you can disable the feature completely in TABLE OPTIONS in the table script. This feature is only allowed if you have the table's PuP-Pack installed, and the PUPDMD option enabled for PinEvent settings.

The PinEvent and PUPDMD display features are almost finalized! This video shows a short bit a gameplay to give you an idea of how it will look, and it also shows the PSA video feature at the end. (I set it to a 2 ball game)

Things are going well. Expect to see some more official Announcement and Trailers videos to come to my YT channel leading up to the table's release (most likely shortly before XMAS).

Masters of the Universe - Collector's Edition (Future Pinball)

WORK... NOT IN PROGRESS :)

After 18 months of working hard on this project, it's finally done! It's now in the final testing phase!

This is my first official reveal to the world on my YT channel as a teaser Announcement Trailer!

I've done lots of pinball stuff over the years... but nothing comes close to the sheer level of content, complexity, and skill that was involved with this one (until Silent Hill is done). Lots of learning along the way. I had to take many breaks (because of health issues), but I'm glad I finally made it!

I'm legit very proud of how this turned out!

VR, MR and Toppers Preview trailer

This video shows what options you have for VR (virtual reality), MR (mixed reality), and Toppers for the new Masters of the Universe - Collector's Edition game I've been creating (for Future Pinball - BAM).

You can have a Minimal Room (for less powerful PCs), a Mega Room (with massive and detailed MOTU models), and MR Room which has multiple colour options to work with your VR/MR headset (such as the Meta Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop).

The topper options are either Granamyr the Great (giant dragon) or Skeletor's  Bone Throne. Either of these options can be either a topper, or they can be in the Mega Room.

This table's new ray traced pre-baked lighting and shadows combined with FP's dynamic lighting / ray cast shadows / shadowmaps, etc... creates a stunning visual spectacle like no other in VR! Videos can't do it justice compared to playing it for yourself in VR.

VR does require a powerful PC to get great results and smooth gameplay. The PC used in this video was an i5 13600K with RTX 4070 Ti Super, running in Virtual Desktop using Godlike settings and 90 fps (if using supersampling, then I use 72 fps). This is with maxed settings on FP. Disabling Raycast shadows, reflections, the mega room and toppers can help with fps on slower PCs.

CHOOSE YOUR FACTION, CHOOSE YOUR CHARACTER

This video shows you how each player is required to choose a faction and then choose a character. In a 3 player game, player one gets to choose from all factions, player two gets to choose from the remaining two, then player three gets the last faction. The playfield will change appearance for each player's turn based on their faction. The holographic mirror and the PUP FullDMD display will show the character of the current player and more. This can make for a fun multiplayer game where only one faction can be the winner! Results of the winning faction are shown during Attract Mode. This will be released later this month, and then EVERYONE can choose their favorites while striving to become the Master of the Universe!

A heads up... the "Ball Appearance" information in TABLE OPTIONS is listed wrong.

This is what it currently shows....

'    1 = match faction chosen        (Heroic Warriors = He-Man, Evil Warriors = Skeletor, Evil Horde = Hordak)
'    2 = match faction chosen (chrome)    (Heroic Warriors = He-Man, Evil Warriors = Skeletor, Evil Horde = Hordak)
'    3 = Chrome (normal pinball)
'    4 = He-Man
'    5 = Skeletor
'    6 = Hordak

These are the correct options. The code is fine and works as intended. Just use the numbers for the correct options as shown below.

'    1 = match faction chosen        (Heroic Warriors = He-Man, Evil Warriors = Skeletor, Evil Horde = Hordak)
'    2 = Chrome (normal pinball)
'    3 = He-Man
'    4 = Skeletor
'    5 = Hordak
'    6 = match faction chosen (chrome)    (Heroic Warriors = He-Man, Evil Warriors = Skeletor, Evil Horde = Hordak)
'    7 = He-Man (chrome)
'    8 = Skeletor (chrome)
'    9 = Hordak (chrome)

No need for the table to have a "fix" for this to work if you use the right number.
