Mary Shelley's Frankenstein

Recommended Posts

  • 3 weeks later...

I installed the ".fsq" and ".pal" on the micro sd-card and started up my (real) pinball.

I do not see the colorization, as in the pictures show in this topic. The short film posted on a real machien is the same I have.

What i'm i doing wrong? (do i need more files?)

Thx for the help

the last days I did some keyframing work on this project. It's not yet finished, but a lot of triggers and scenes will work now. You can find the actual  files in the download area.

I also add some new recordings to the pin2dmd editor project. Let me know if you interested in the files.

This is great news. 😍

I had tried colorization but without much success...
Glad someone could finalize Malenko's work.

Thank you again to him for initiating the project and thank you for continuing it. 👍

yes, a lot of the scenes still don't have a keyframe until know. Therefore they are not triggered during pinball play.

Projectfiles are converted to 64 colors. So a Firmware-Update of the Pin2DMD display to Version 4.10 is necessary.

Additionally to Malenkos project files, the following scenes should now work in color:

1. IceCave

2. extra ball

3. the credits

4. a lot of the body part collecting scenes (not all scenes are recorded until know - there are a lot of possibilities to build Frankenstein...)

5. journal of...

6. i hope all LynchJustine scenes are working now

7. Jackpot

8. Multiball

9. music select

10. Sega Fox scenes

11. BSMT 2000

12. maybe the ThrowSwitch

13. Alive

14. injection

and some other scenes...

Please let me know if the LynchJustine Sequence is working correct.

I tested my uploaded files today on my pinball and it seems that this version was not working at all on real pinball.

My project files are corrupt somewhere. But I can't find the problem.

So I had to go back to an older version of my project files and have  reimplemented all finished keyframing work again step by step.

Now a Release Version 3 can be found in the download section. It's tested and working.

Hi Newbie77, I was wondering if you had a google drive link for the updated files at all? Downloads section has been down for the last day.

Thank you

Version 19 of the colorization is released and can be found in the download section.

a lot  stuff is implemented, e.g.

- Voltage scenes now colored and working

- ThrowSwitch colored and working

- LynchJustine colored and working

- most of the creature scenes (creature feature, creature 2 ball...) are colored

- Graveyard scenes keyframed. They are working but need some color bugfixing work.

- music select colored and working

- a lot of other scenes were now triggered and are working

and a lot of other bugfixing work is done.

Please let me know your feedback.

Thanks for your continued work.

Sorry to be a pain but could you upload it to the google drive again as the downloads are still down here 😕

Thank you

Version 28 is released

(Keyframes are based on display ROM Version 1.03 english - to ensure that the color triggering of the released files work correct, please use this ROM Version. Other display Rom Versions may work correct or not. It depends on differences between the used triggering scenes)

added keyframes for the following scenes:

- Geneva letter collecting

- Geneva Multiball (new coloring)

- Creature Feature

- Creature Jackpot Ready

- north pole walking through the storm (new coloring)

- Graveyard

- stoning film sequence

- stoning scene in front of the wall (not well tested, could work or not)

- Game Over

and a lot of bugfixing stuff.

It would be nice to get some help for the correct keyframing of the stoning scene. This is not so easy, because there are thousands of scene possibilities. Maybe someone has an idea how to keyframe the scene in a correct way...?

Google Drive Download Link for real pin and virtual pin:

When the download section of the forum is working again, I'll put the files there.

Hi,

did anyone manage to work with the vpin files?

I did the tests with the files on my VPIN with XL display in version 4.10, but I was not successful.

I downloaded the "frankst" rom again and to no avail.

when I remove the coloring from the altcolor folder, the table will work again.

any trick to the operation of files?

...and thank you very much for the excellent work...you are awesome!

Hi Kbueno,

sorry, I have no idea. I didn't do any tests with the vPin Files, because I don't have a Vpin.

I tested the real Pin files on my real pinball  and they are working.

Maybe someone else has any idea what to do.

Hi Kbueno,

I found this description on the pin2dmd website:

"

2.1.4 Export Project for virtual Pinball machines

When exporting one or two files are created, that have to be copied to your pinmame altcolor folder structure. Create a subdirectory with the rom filename you want to use the colorization with and copy the files named pin2dmd.pal and pin2dmd.vni to that folder.

The *.pal file contains palettes, mask and key frames definitions. When you create colorized scenes a *.vni file is created which holds all the scene data. Please don´t share your project if you use copyrighted content for your personal colorization."

Did you create a subdirectory in the "altcolor" folder?

Yes. I already have the altcolor folder of other colors of the vpin roms and they are working normally. but this colorization when starting the table with these colorization files it locks. and when I remove the coloring files it works normally.

i think i found the issue: newer versions of the pin2dmd editor after 2.5.0.6 break vpin export for large dmd format
This is an issue only  @lucky1 can fix

Andreas: could you try an export for vpin with an older version of the editor? PM me if you don't have it. ;)
