Big Trouble in Little China (original)

Big Trouble in Little China Pinball throws players into a fast-paced battle beneath the neon lights of Chinatown, where every shot pushes the story deeper into the chaos. Step into the boots of reckless trucker Jack Burton and rip through combos, ramps, and orbit shots as you chase the trail of the kidnapped green-eyed beauty. The ancient sorcerer Lo Pan lurks below the streets, waiting for the ritual that will break his curse. Stack modes, ignite multiballs, and hammer precision shots as the action escalates from alleyway showdowns to supernatural warfare. Only the boldest flippers will conquer the storms, defeat Lo Pan, and prove that fortune favors the fearless.

Guys I updated to Pinup Player 2.0 from 1.5 as per the instruction video.  I enjoyed a few games of Big Trouble - well done on this.  But at one point I got a pointer exception and it cashed out. The message was captured in the PinUPDisplayErrorLog

20260417 15:33:43 Invalid pointer operation

So I decided to go back to the 1.5 version.  I used the zipped backup of my PinUp files as in your video instructions.

But now my Popper interface is acting strangely.  When I try to configure anything in the Controller Setup it sets the JoyCode to 12.  I can still use a keyboard to move to next game, prior game etc. but the flippers no longer work as they are incorrectly set to JoyCode 12.  Once I am in a game the flippers are working.

Is there anything I can do to resolve this?  I am not sure if this is related to the PinupPlayer update, but it seems likely.

Hi guys! Thank you for the fantastic table!

I have a real tilt-bob (virtual tilt somehow doesn't works for me) and no tilt warnings or tilt works for me.

On the other original tables, I used to write to the script that "if keycode = 20 then checktilt", but this time it doesn't works.

Could you help me, please?

Thank you!

Hi. Thank you for your hard work on this table. It is truly amazing.

For "Choose your fate" I'm unable to choose. I'm guessing the flipper buttons should allow me to choose a door but nothing seems to work for me and I just have to wait for the timeout. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Hello,

Any idea why I have no DOF on this table?  I am a bit new to this, but I have set up about 50 tables so far and the DOF works on all of them.  I unblocked all files.  Put the table in the tables folder.  Put the pup media in the pup videos folder.  Ran the 1.5 pinup batch file and the 3 screens full DMD batch file.  Everything is working great, but I get no output to my solenoids, toys  and lights.

Thanks in advance for helping someone new.  Please direct me to where  I should post this question if not here.

Just to chime in on this one, same here.  I have a real tilt bob.  I never thought about trying to change the script, but in any case, if there is a solution for this I would like to know what that entails.

On another note, I had the game lock up on me during Kidnap at the Airport.  Started the mode, drained, and the game was stuck.  Didn't acknowledge the drain and so it just hung.

Thanks, otherwise table is great!

So having a an issue to get it to coin up. So i figured i'd go into the script and set it to free play like I have for other tables.

Only thing is a can't find the proper line in the script to do so. can you point me in the right direction?

WE are looking into this, it apears to happen on some setups but not all, its failign to convert W and S keys from the minigame to flipper keys, til we figure out a fix you can use teh W and S keys on your keyboard and it should work.

thks you for your great table. Any solution to run Scorbit?

There is 1 line of code that needs to be quoted out or deleted; we had forgotten it in the script. It will be fixed in the update coming in a few weeks. We just want to fix as many things all at once, so we are waiting on other reports of issues to come up. Thanks for your patience.

This can be 1 of a few rare cases, if table lost ball count due to many stacked multiballs (although very rare) or it could be a possible ball stuck on the pop up ramp near teh dragon tube, which also is very rare, in which case you can hold teh launch key,as long as its the only ball on the table, and it will lift the ramp and let the ball fall to the right orbit. We are currently looking into making a more elegant fix for this. We should be releasing an update within a few weeks with fixes for this and many other issues reported. WE jsut wait til all reports are in so we can update it once and not have to post many extra updates.
