INTRO:   Huge thanks to everyone for the massive help!  After a year in the making we hope yall enjoy it and feel it was worth the wait.  Nobody can match the amazing code Lyman Sheats did for the original table but this was hand coded and shows how much work it must of taken to make the real table.  We tried to replicate every detail on the gameplay with exact scoring, bonuses, modes, pinup interactions, gadgets, service menus and so forth. 

    In the 27K lines of code I am sure there are a few things we still missed so feel free to let us know.  Our goal is to pay tribute to this amazing table but also show that there are no limits when it comes to originals.  We hope this will bring something the community will enjoy and inspire others to join in on the fun.

  • Draining while villain escape is qualified doesn’t relight it 
  • Qualifying a villain the second time and then switching the qualified villain turn off the insert for the already qualified villain 
  • When doing flipper+start reset instant info was left on the screen at the start of the new game 
  • Hitting batphone when shot multipliers are lit doesn’t register 
  • VMB edge case could wait up to 40 seconds before releasing the balls. 
  • Fixed service menu key mapping and added sounds 
  • Made service menu edit and cancel work like original 
  • Shame is only MB the first time 
  • Shame has a timer the second time you play it 
  • Shame adds +1 MB for each time you completed it 
  • Major Villain lights could go out the second time through before starting villain escape (Visual only) 
  • Fixed Muted scene in Catwoman2, wave2 start 
  • Fixed MrFreeze not adding/showing score when hitting red shots during the first wave  
  • GI-Off image didn’t have visible set so it wasn’t working. 
  • Fixed the left ramp ball stuck issue 
  • Major Villain seasons alternate after completion 
  • Added default scores for other stats 
  • Fixed when "[SCORE]" shows up randomly on DMD 
  • Tilting the table when a ball was in lock disabled everything and waited forever 
  • Added "Calling operator" text to ball search when it moves the ball 
  • Pressing Both Magnas together 3 times, after first ball search calls the Operator 
  • Fixed random bounce-out on right ramp when shooting with the left flipper  
  • Added Variable to support Real Tilt Bobs 
  • Fixed Gameover flicker behind mystery 
  • Fixed attract screen with "Replay at" getting stuck when resetting during gameplay 
  • When ending multiball during a stacked mode there is a slight chance it doesn’t clear all the way. 
  • If Atomic pile is flashing for bat turn or something else during VMB the turntable doesn’t turn for the SJP shot 
  • Added 5x4 screen option 
  • Reduced PF Images to 4k instead of 7K. 
  • Added fix for VPVR kicker issue 
  • Updated back kicker DOF since both kickers were using the same DOF output. 
  • Added constants at the top of the code for the service keys 
  • Added a slight delay for the attract start so the intro video shows up correctly 
  • Fixed Ball stuck halfway down right wire ramp 
  • Shame didn’t add +1 extra balls to MB for each time you completed shame. 
  • End of ball bonus glitch when you drain while bat phone is flashing. City scenes pop up. 
  • Made blue inserts lighter like the original table 
  • Fixed media sizes in the pup that cause the table to crash when in full screen exclusive

OMG!!!!!  The more I play this, the more awesome I find it!  So much to discover.  I think I'm going to be spending a lot of time with this table. GREAT WORK you all.  Thank you !!!

All those who blindly think only an emulated rom is worth playing and refuse to try originals or recreations done from scratch or anything pup based can suck it. This is a fantastic collaboration that shows what can be done on VPX.

 

Congrats lads! You've been working very hard on this for a long time. The end result is fantastic. Amazing work from everyone.

 

I hope you guys have a cabinet for DOF and MX Leds.... you'll enjoy this one!

Got to say this one is awesome and runs great on my 3 screen FullDmd cab. I had the issue of the video moving when the bat phone ringed. I just had to change one thing in the scrip file. The work and love put in this table shows. Keep up the great work.  Update to this post to fix the issue: The setting for orientation. Should be around the top of the script. I noticed it was setup for desktop. Just change that part in the script.

WELL WHAT i THINK IS i WULD HAVE LIKED TO PLAY THIS NICE PINBALL iF ONLY i COULD LOAD IT TO PLAY WITHOUT HAVING TO INSTALL THIS (( PUP PLAY )) THING..

(caps ) sorry... caus i only got this desktop wich sometimes you folks forget thats some of us dont have the ...( time ) to learn all thoses plug-ins you got for thoses of you

that are Nerds....If I may say..forgive my frustration..but sometiems its too much...

Ill try to get this pin somewhere else...without ..complications.

Thank you for creating this Batman 66 Stern Tribute table and the amazing PuP-Pack that goes with it. Bravo, really beautiful work! The sensations and gameplay feel just right, and it brings back great memories since I already played this table in tournaments before. It’s really cool to rediscover it like this. Huge thanks to the whole team for this fantastic release!

Knocked it out of the park with this one. Has to be one of the easiest setups for the Pup pack. Just follow the instructions when running the .bat file for screen set up. So easy! Great job.

ill be honest i wasnt keep onthe table when i looked at the spreadsheet but after playing the matrix i thought id chek out... and its amazing withe pup pack setup i was taken back to my first Batman adam west.

Wow, just wow, what an achievement this table. I only now started really playing it because of a competition I'm in but what a joy! The table is great in itself, but this recreation is truly special. The level of detail in here is amazing. It is so close to the real life table. Hats off to the whole team!

Amazing table.

 

The pup pack really shines for this table.

I play with an OLED desktop and the colors really standout and are vibrant.

 

One curious thing I have noticed in my setup, I start getting tilt warnings after the 4th digital nudge.

I tested it out 3 different times. I tested the second time before launching the ball, and waiting 10

seconds between nudges. Maybe I have a setting configured incorrectly.

After hitting the nudge button for the 6th time, the table tilts automatically.

 

With analog nudging, I can nudge the ball the entire playthrough without a warning.

 

Has anyone else noticed this behavior?

Could it be a bug?

 

One of my favorite tables and pup packs, (Cactus Canyon also has an amazing pup pack, with a lot of these same authors.)

Can I give it six stars?  This table is a masterpiece and totally takes me back to growing up watching Batman and Robin re-runs when you only had a few channels and only one that played something for kids after school.  The pinball, villains, overall gameplay, video clip integration, and sound effects are all brilliantly done! A new instant favorite for me!

This table is my absolutely favorite of the modern machines.  This VPX version is about as close as you can get to the real pinball table.  I haven't found anything lacking yet.  I hope some day we get more of the Stern, Spooky, and JJP tables recreated to this level of perfection.  This is the table I ALWAYS show any guests to let them experience virtual pinball for the first time.

Hi I noticed that when I get a high score #1 as a example, the score will show as #1 but my initials show up as #2

The high score and the initials are not showing up on the right places  on the the scoreboard?

Has this been noticed? Is there a fix?
