About This File

Pin2dmd colorization v2.1, must have pin2dmd firmware 2.58 or higher installed or running freezy's dll 1.7.1.  Extract the .pal and .vni files from zip and rename each pin2dmd and place into the correct alt_color folder for the rom you are running in vpinmame.  This colorization will support both 1.03 and 1.06 roms.  Please message me on vpuniverse for the real pin files.  Donations accepted and appreciated paypal link:

Hi. The colors that are seen in my DMD are different from yours. The color rom works, but the colors it shows are wrong. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thank you

Look at the pin2dmd home page - https://pin2dmd.com/

The display at the top shows what it should look like when it boots up. Depending upon your panels it may not be exact but it gives you an idea of what the sequence should be.

There was a problem when going into service mode where the screen was just blank.

Has this been fixed yet?

still blank. you need to turn off external dmd and let it use built in vpm dmd to get into service menu

Yeah I know, just a bit annoying. An easier way is to eject the sd card before turning on. I don’t have Star Wars any more anyway and sold it with the original DMD. I’ve got a new project - Twilight Zone so will be buying some new cliffys soon 🙂

I'll be damned. It locks up at the hand pushing the start button and then boom vpx crashes out. This seems to be due to @lucky1 newest pin2color.dll he updated this morning. I switched it back to the 11/27/2022 version and it works fine. You might want to post this finding to Luckys dmd extensions thread, Tiki
