Are you ready to rumble?

There is a separate mediapack for the weels and other stuff. This table plays in 10.7 only you have to save it in 10.7 and then reopen it, but if you want to play VR then you need 10.8 version revision 1.

Last year Joe Picasso came to show the Punch-Out table to me, but people where already coding it. The table is based on a homebrew by Craig Evans. The project got on hold and i asked to look at it. I coded the table in 5 days and did 1 week bug solving. There is so much love in this table because of Joe Picasso, he wanted everything as authentic as possible regarding to the NES game. I think I redid the b2s 50 times and every time I thought I was finished with coding then Joe came with a new idea and I had to rewrite pretty much everything. But all the hard work paid off because its a super fun table to play.

First a round of thanks:
Oqqsan: Thank you for helping with the getup bugs we had and other bugs aswell.
Dardog: VR room
Flupper + Zandysarcade: 3d models
Outhere: DOF
JoePicasso: Design table,art,POV,keeping remdwaas1986 sane.
Remdwaas1986: Rules,coding,some art,3d modifications,3d animations.

RULES:
This is a 3 ball game(I know normally I only make 5 ball games), but like the real punchout game you have 3 chances to get up in each ball you play! After fight 3/7/11 you will get an extra ball.

You start at training level 0. To train for the fight, hit 4 times the reps scoop or 4 times the spar scoop to get a higher training level. After that you will get an extra ball and you have to hit the targets F-I-G-H-T N-I-G-H-T to get ready for the fight. Play then in the top scoop and the fight will start with a 3 ball multiball. Hit 8 times the knockout(KO) gate or 5 gut punches en 4 star gates(TKO) to win the fight. Every next fight will get harder because for every next fight you have to do an extra gut punch before you can start the KO or TKO sequence. After fight 11 the wizard point mode starts and the scoops/targets/inlanes will give 1 million points, the bumper 10k,the spinners 100k and the outlanes 2 million.

how many fights did you won?

This game in VR is just like the NES original.  The sound is great, the environment is cool, and the game is so fun to play.  Great job.

I don't leave many reviews, but I HAD to come back here and do it for this one. I had so much fun with this last night. I didn't want to wake up my girlfriend (we were camping out on the living room floor for the storm) so I ended my game prematurely, but I was about to start my second fight. Going to start another game when I'm done with this review.

A lot of times I see a table like this, and my mind immediately goes to generic sounds, and floaty ball physics, but that's obviously not the case here.

This is the standard for which I'd like to see more original tables made. It is right up there with Clue, and Volkan, as far as gameplay. I love a clear objective in my tables. I avoid those with too many rules, or those with rules that are not immediately clear.

This game is a masterpiece.  I can't explain how happy this game made me while playing it.  I've only recently got into vpin and built a cabinet right away, so my experience has always been positive with people's recreations of tables and new ideas alike.  But for some reason, this table tickled me differently.  It captures the essence of NES Punchout perfectly.  The sounds, the fights.. everything.  I'm hooked and can't stop playing this table.  I honestly wish I had 1/10 of the talent and creativity that the creator of this table has.

THANK YOU!!

P.S. Flamenco is my furthest so far :)

Very reminiscent of William's Pub Champion. Training, and then boxing your next opponent, but with the awesome Punch-Out theme. Gameplay is simple, but extremely addicting, and the act of having to mash the flipper buttons to get back up really ties in nicely to the theme, and adds an extra bit of spice.

Oops, I overlooked the table. It was carnival time in Germany.

Now I have finally set up the table.

The table, b2s and media are simply magnificent

I can only agree with the positive comments and say a big thank you to everyone involved

I got as far as fight 7, it will be a challenge until fight 11 :D

Set the table differently again today.

What you have achieved is just fantastic.

Pure nostalgia

The concept and gameplay are incredibly clever. As I was playing, I kept thinking "It would be cool if this happened" and then it did!

The flipper button mashing to "get up" is very fun and evokes the NES game perfectly. The NES sounds are well executed and not over done. The challenge is rewarding from the training to the actual fights. I am in awe at how you manipulated the backglass during gameplay!

I'm taking one star off (for now) only because I see the potential in this being a top-tier table. Some refinements in physics and sound can make this table that much more immersive and while I get the overall aesthetic choice, I feel like the playfield could use some graphical refinement.

The slingshot plastic art feels a bit slapdash, and while I love the playfield screen, I think it would look even better encased in an old CRT TV (perhaps with an NES controller underneath with buttons that depress as the flippers are hit?)

I hope we see updates in the near future!

Great table, thanks for all of the work!  The music took me back 35+

years!  And "yeah", I still have the Mike Tyson's Punch Out NES cartridge!

I could not stop smiling while playing this; it is just on-point for the theme, great table!  Laughed out loud the first time I heard the game over callout.  I know it says it requires 10.7, but I played it on 10.8 RC7 and it seems to play justfine.

I haven't had a chance to try this yet, but I've seen gameplay footage and am familiar enough with the NES game to know a lot of love went into this.  So - 5 stars.

Suggestion for a future update - add a pass key after defeating Honda, Bald Bull, and Super Macho Man.  If the pass key is entered at the start of a game, they can pick up from that save point (just like the NES game).

EDIT - and since points start at 0 at the start of every game, there's still a points motivation to defeat everyone in a single run.
