A classic Stern designed by Harry Williams. Purported to be the first game with a controlled general illumination circuit.

I built this back in 2018 and was content to let it disappear post-vpinball.com but @nestorgian picked it up and gave it new life with nfozzy physics and fleep sounds and cleaned up playfield artwork. I did some small visual and physics tweaks and the VPW braintrust jumped in with additional help.

Nestorgian - physics, sound, desktop view and script update

Wylte - physics adjustment, field testing, troubleshooting

Apophis - physics adjustments

TastyWasps - VR Room

leojreimroc - VR backglass, desktop scoring

Hauntfreaks - desktop assets

bord - physics meshes, various new visual meshes, general tinkering

Sixtoe - absolutely nothing 😝

This is incredibly well done.  The physics are insane. I can feel the weight and the flipper response is exactly what I would expect from a game in this era. The lights, sounds and overall game play immediately take me back to a simpler time in my life.

Amazing how real this is.

It's the same titans of the virtual world hitting a grand slam once again.

Thank you.

Beautiful table, as allways. The skillshot is very challenging.

The left outlane is a real drainer, so it's nice to make use of the nudge now and then. I noticed a tiny bump, when the ball goes down on the left flipper. I don't know if the ball is suppose to do that ? But i changed the left flipper Y position from 1633,042  to 1637,042. That got rid of the bump. Thanks for making and sharing this table.

Thanks to Bord and everyone else who contributed on this table. Looks great with atmospheric lighting (as with all Bord Tables) and, even more importantly, the physics are perfect. Challenging table but not unfair. Many thanks for another fantastic addition to the canon of perfect vpx recreations.

Response from the author:

Thanks, @neil81992. Much appreciated. Beer is on me next time!

Finally got around to playing this excellent table. I had a bit of deju vu because I recently added Cosmic (Taito do Brasil 1980) as well. Turns out that Taito copied this for their table. Great to have both on my set-up, thanks for sharing!

Wow, thanks all again, my favorite era and this build (a table I never had) doesn't disappoint. It plays, looks and feels perfect in both VPX and VR, special thanks for the VR :)

Marvelous job on this one as well. The table is a joy to play and look at. Thank you so much!!!

@Nestorgian A few electronic sounds on the table are at a much lower volume than they should be If you compare it to an actual table. Most other sounds at 100%, these particular ones are at 10-20%. In particular the spinner. The bonus sounds when your ball drains and the bonus lights rotate to tabulate your score. That sound is low and has a large clicking sound during playback. The top pop bumper is also noticeably lower in volume. Might be a few others, I'm not sure as I've only played a few games but I instantly noticed the discrepancy in volume levels. You can hear in this youtube video and a handful of other examples that the spinner competes and almost dominates the loudest electronic sounds on this table.

I'd appreciate anyone schooling me on increasing individual electronic sounds in the settings please.
