I've also had big problems to get usb drivers running with win7 x64 and even the one, that is working now crashes the system when going down to suspend.

I've this howto here http://jaxov.com/2010/08/install-libusb-windows-7-vista-64-bit/it was the only one that was working, but only if you boot with option

ignore driver signing and with the suspend issue.

definitly not the final version to use. Every other try was not working at all, either no communications or simply no driver installed?!?

But windows is anyway not "my operating system" and I'm working mostly on connecting real pinball machines.

The choice of the OS for virtual pinball is essential when you build a cab.

80% still use XP for it. Pin2dmd uses the same drivers as pindmd. There

is nothing new on that side. A lot of troubleshooting has already been

done in the past. I´m pretty sure the solution for this problem

is already been published. So please invest a little time in searching,

so I can invest my time in developing.

Thanks

Lucky1

PCB Boards are produced, just have to wait for shipping.

See attachement for Details!

PCB_Rev1.1.jpg

Looks good, some small issues in the Silkscreen, but it was my fault and not needed for the function.

It´s allready fixed in my layout and comes on the PCB in rev 1.2... (next order).

I have uninstalled all drivers, and when i plug the stm32 board back in windows detects 2 devices (two PIN2DMD) is this right?

No. Thats wrong.

But well, now we are good to fix it.

I have my laptop up in 45 minutes.

Then i can support you with remote desktop.

When you want to.

What's changed in Rev 1.2 compared to the ones in the pre-order?

Right now:

- The silkscreen (the white color on the board)

- a small change for using the PIN-DMD as input. A result from lucky1 and steves Test with a real pin.

But there is no technical difference in the boards. So you can use all functions.

Don't worry.

And 4USD , it's still a super cheap price for the pcb.

And i don't order some new ones, before i get more preorders.

Regards

Sascha

small update:

I ordered 20 pcs 2 Layer PCBs for arround 80 USD in Shenzhen, China.

Size 3x3.5 inch = 75x89 mm

Hopefully they be here in week 47.

So I can ship the boards in week 48. (last week in November)

Lucky1´s 1 Layer is to expensive because of the size.

Size: 3.35x4.85 inch = 84.5x123 mm

20 pcs would be for arround 90 USD.

After delivery and test, 18 pieces are then available for sale.

Update: 11-02-2015

Finally we get it fixed!

The Problem with 2 visible Pin2DMD devices in the Device Manager!

It comes from the libusb driver and not from the Hardware!

And well, you can get this problem also with the PinDMD2 device ( i have one and i had the same problem with both PinDMD´s)!!!!!

You can find the Solutions in my Dropboxfolder.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/isc7p46q7ixz2np/AABc4Ax784xemgwRV5gc_FLwa?dl=0

With instructions in english!

When you use my solutions, please give me a Feedback how it works with your PC!

Thx.

So have fun with the GREAT (and cheap!) Pin2DMD from Lucky1 and Steve!

Best regards

I'm having problems installing the Stm32 Virtual Com port driver, can't seem to find any drivers for it :(

regarding the 16 pin connector, Does the red wire indicate port 1?

Win 7 64 bit , and no i haven't found any drivers that work

Did you activate the pindmd in your pinmame options (F1) ?

He has no Communicatio at all....

The Drivers shows up correct in the Device Manager.

But nothing happens when he start a rom or try to change the Color with your PIN2DMD tool.

any ideas?

He has TeamViewer installed. So he is able for remote service...

I tryed it, but without any result.

Hope that you have any idea.
