Junk Yard 64 colors

Hi guys,

 

It's time for me to start a new projects, and this time I will be working on Junk Yard. I've played this table a lot in the old days, and even on PS4.

Now, I enjoy this nice and challenging table on my pincab and think I would be able to give it a new look with a colored DMD !

 

As in my previous projects, you can keep an eye on the progress here on the first post, and you can try the WIP files for VPIN that are located in this folder :

New file format for VPIN (.pac) to be tested with latest Lucky1 DLL.

01/02/2023 - v1.23 released :

- fixed great toilet  "choose junk" bugging when bike tires were on the right

- fixed credit dot for credit / credits and freeplay on attract and score default

 

23/01/2023 :

- fixed the trigger for multiball "pass the wrecking ball" - was not with the right coloring format

 

15/01/2023 :

- changed the trigger for score default 

- corrected some missing triggers for 1/2 credit (attract & score default)

- changed hashcode to "radar assembled" - weather vane was not colored when alone

- changed detection mask form Junk-TV

- changed detection mask for Junk-Bike Tires

 

12/01/2023 - v1.2 released

- At last, I've finalized (well I hope) run from spike sequence !!

Few more screens.. there's in fact quite a lot of "text" screens.. !

I've recording almost all animations also, and will start recording.

 

I'm still not sure whether I will use "Replace Color" / "Layered Color Mssk" modes for the angel and devil popping up, or color all the scenes... I'll see as I will be progressing !

I've wasted quite some time on my computer with LCM and LRM not working, but I ended up testing on my pincab, and unfortunately, I discovered that Freezy DLL were not working with these advanced modes.. (for now ? or perhaps is handled differently ?), but it work fine with Lycky1 DLL for the PIN2DMD owners. Hope I can manage it, or find a way to report it to Freezy DLL team !

Should work with the latest version freezy 1.10.2 the same way as on a real pin2dmd

I could reproduce the issue and commited the necessary changes to freezy. Will be fixed in the next release (1.10.3)

Hi,

 

New update today with more screens colored.. I am on "run from spike" video mode witch is quite complex and requires a lot of frames.. !

I finally realeased the intro. I was trying to smartly use the LayeredReplaceMask in order to prevent painting background on each frame.. but I couldn't find a way to prioritize correclty the colors.. So I ended up the old way .. !

Hi,

 

I will generate some files on the GDrive for RPIN if you want to have a look about what it looks like on your screen.

There's still a lot to do on the different video modes +  the integration of angel/devil popping here and there.. but I'm progressing !

I use jy_12 ROM.

Be sure to use Freezy v1.10.2 to be compatible with 64 colorisation.

(this project will even requires Freezy 1.10.3 that has some fixes that Lucky1 made but it is not officially relased yet).

 

Don't hesitate to feedback.

I've just updated the files today with some changes, have a look.
