Please, please, please - Upvote/Rate/Review/Like everything you download.

Just today there have been a couple previous content providers & table creators that decided to pull their content off of VPU. They did this primarily due to the pack shares/sellers, etc. but liking/rating/upvoting/reviewing content is extremely important as well.

"Last week I was looking at my files here and saw 18000+ downloads vs 9 likes. Then I decided to remove all my stuff and move on with my life." - Laylow

This is a VERY important aspect to this hobby and is really the only way that people can show their appreciation for people that keep this hobby moving. Pack sharers and those that decide to download packs don't think anything of it. Packs/sellers remove the users exposure to the communities that drive this hobby. I've always said; remove the community aspect from this hobby and we'll loose those that are important to it.

Think your likes / ratings / upvotes on content and downloads doesn't have anything to do with this hobby..... Think again.

Hopefully the 30 second download wait will help with this problem, i dont mind the wait at all. It seems like a good idea.

I always at least left a like at VP with a few comments and will continue here as well.

I agree 100% Dazz.  We should all Upvote/Rate/Review/Like everything you download.  It is the right thing to do.

But, and I am not trying to be an a-hole here but.  We should also not get upset and take our ball and go home.  It sucks putting in work for only a few likes. But, I hope that is not why you make content.  I would hope it brings you joy and seeing joy in others.  I would hope........

Again, just my opinion. I am old.............

And I agree with you 100%..    So sick of the drama and the crybabies'     Just deal with it nothing is ever going to be done, it just part of the game, if you cant handle it dont cry about it ..  Like others have said look at MAME

same shit happened  to them for yrs and there still going ..  I dont see all there content getting pulled by their contributors 😉     People need to chill the fuck out !  If you cant deal with it STFU and let the guys that can, still enjoy

the what the authors give to us for FREE....

I never thought the Likes/Upvotes were important until a table author mentioned it on VPB a while back.  Other creators agreed too.  Since then, I always click Like on whatever I download.  It only takes a second to click the Like/Upvote button, so we should all do it.

Hey Dazz! Any reason why i can't see who liked my post! If i remember it correctly it was possible a few weeks ago. Even the alerts say 'Somebody reacted.......'

Thanks!

Working for me, as of yesterday.  Login status issue, maybe?

Yeah, Schreibi was never what i wanted. Schlabber goes back to the C64 "filesharing" days. SBR has always been my highscore initials. 34 has always been my jersey number. It was about time to set this right.

The site has always done that for me for years.

@Schlabber34

I'm going to have to update the contribution credits for RetroFlair 2 now (for your gorgeous insert jewel images). :)

This is a known issue... working to figure it out.  I think it only happens once due to a caching issue.

Hi guys,

I have the same problem since a few weeks.
I can't see any likes on any posts. I just can see the number of likes.
Is there a solution for this?
Cheers!

I agree Dazz
I also do not have to get angry about the behavior of those who do not understand this community
I get to ask
does the heart represent the like?
And the up arrow would be like a positive review?
I always have doubts about how to qualify, sorry for my slowness and bad English

Lets say there where no likes button. How much feedback do you think a release would get ? Almost nothing, I'm sure.

Most of the downloaders are still not even bothering to press the like button. If you are one of the guys that from time to time actually do a review or put in a comment, you can pat yourself on the shoulder knowing you are among those that keep the authors going.

Not that I think the authors would stop completely to create stuff, it is just something they enjoy. But, without any feedback at all, it isn't as rewarding.
