Get the official and final release for version 3.4 cycle at VPForums!

http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=27063&page=1

The package includes the latest external DMD dlls if there has been a recent update. Or else find the external DMD dlls with the beta thread for the official VPinMAME build here:

http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=27063&page=1

OR

at lucky1's GitHub repository for Pin2DMD here:

https://github.com/lucky01/PIN2DMD/tree/master/integration/pinmame

OR

freezy's dmddevice.dll which provides full color DMD support for virtual DMD as well as hardware DMD (i.e., LED panels):

https://github.com/freezy/dmd-extensions/releases

Copy the files into your VPM directory, and run setup.exe again. There, press the install button (with each new build) and remember to setup the defaults again!

In case you have an external DMD connected that you want to use with VPM, please move the dlls from the respective subdirectory (Pin2DMD or PinDMD1 or PinDMD2 or PinDMD3) directly into your VPM directory!

not sure if this is the right place to ask but....
i'm currently doing a new build of Pistol Poker (Alvin G) and their seems to be a problem with the flasher emulation.
The problem is mentioned on the old vp9 version of this table (from 2015) so it seems to have been an issue for quite some time.
Everything works fine apart from the flashers, they just never trigger while playing the game but strangely work when testing the flashers with the tables DMD menu.
When the table first boots the dmd display states "flasher bulb problem" maybe this is the issue that stop the flashers from operating during gameplay.

here's a screengrab of progress so far (plus the error message in the dmd)
https://www.antinet.co.uk/pp2.png
Like i said I'm not sure if this is the place to ask.

thanks for any help

Official source has been relocated here:

https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame

The latest beta pre-release includes the -sc variants which toggle on support for the S.A.M. full colored DMD patches. Find them here:

https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame/releases/tag/v3.4-34b35a99

Players will want "VPinMAME-sc-win-x86.zip"

Note: For me, the Test button with the included Setup.exe crashes the install app. You can still use the setup.exe from the 0.33b release version to get the Test dialog if needed.

Users can get "PinMAME-sc-win-x64.zip" for ROM auditing.

Need to get up to date on real DMD drivers? They can be found here:

https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame/tree/master/ext/dmddevice

Yes. It is, if you look at that link you are probably wanting the file named "VPinMAME-sc-3.4-163-b49f37a-win-x86.zip"

Sc - because it has the extra color code, which is different from the official, kind of. At least, you can say, it has a added flag that makes it different from the one that don't. x86 is 32bit, that is what we are used to get from Carny. VPinMame - contains the dll file that you place into vpinamame folder - overwriting the one you've got.

x64 is working, with some limitation. The so called at91jit, is not. That is essential currently I'm told for the modern Stern tables.

VPinMame is what you would normally update with just the dll - the other ones do slightly different things. I don't remember now exactly, but, to generate a new games xml pr. example, I refer to one of those in clrmame pro. It isn't dangerous to start those manually. So, why not try and see what happens. Believe the pinmame is just the cmd line version and the other is some gui thing. LONG time since I started those myself.

Yes. I've mentioned that in the "official pinmame" thread. I thought it was related to Win7, since Wiesshund didn't seem to have the same problem. Yesterday I updated again and setup.exe crashes. Some releases back, I was told that you need to run setup.exe and press the uninstall. Then install again. Maybe that helps for you ? Don't tell it to clean up the registry though ! Only let it unregister and re-register.

I just tried Versions sc 3.4 165 as well as 221 and am having the same problems. uninstall and reinstall without clearing the registry does help. setup crashes.

I was trying to install it for the new Cheech & Chong - Road-Trip'pin release.  I'm running windows 8.1.

Bedding the names ... start editing with a @ and give it time to to search - maybe you need to clear out your cache and cookies ? Sometime I do get weird happening here. Most often, want to reply to something and I'm only allowed to attach a picture ;)

Oh. That is weird, I don't know if you read the pinmame thread ? With the newer version. You should first, unregister, then re-register. I don't know the details, but at some point after 3.3 that is needed. I've done it since I was told, but, I'm still not able to use newer vpinmame.dll's without test crashing. I thought you said you where fine on your end. And, well, I had no issues on my crappy M$ spying on me Win10.

OK thanks I will give it time to search
using windows 10 - 2 computer same thing

I thought I was OK but I was not
Yes after I install 3.4 from the forums I unregister and re register after I add the Sambulidl I unregister and re register, when I clink on test it just closes (Plus I've tried other combinations)

But the best I can tell if you download the SC version from the github that has all the color roms in it
