Sidebar On Forums, On Or Off?

Right now I have the sidebar turned off on the forums.  It can have things such as new posts, new threads, new blog posts, etc. Would you guys rather have the sidebar turned on or off when in the forums?

I'm talking specifically about the FORUMS section.  Not the rest of the site as the other sections will have sidebars. This thread is regarding ONLY the Forums pages.

Sorry Dazz. I apparently wasn't paying enough attention. I didn't see the forums and was thinking general site. I still vote for the sidebar. Maybe with a jump to on the side? Dammit, I thought I said that above? I must have missed that too.

The main body of the forum will show the latest post to a thread in each section right? I'm on the fence about sidebars.

 

I know that since the "upgrade" at the other site, I find it way too busy and slow to load (too much content).

I could take it or leave it, but on some sites once i'm in the thread or forum I want to be in I'd rather have more space for the actual content.  One sidebar may be ok, two seems a bit overkill.  Unless we really need that many advertisements to pay for something I guess.

I agree and when people post larger photos, etc. you don't need to scroll side to side to see it.

I prefer more space as well.  I voted for off.
