Lifewater989 Posted May 15 Posted May 15 (edited) I’m very sorry to hear about this, sir. I’m especially sorry about your cats. Devastating. 😢 You’re basically THE backglass guy in this community with more contributions of super high quality b2s than anyone else. No one else even comes close. Hoping for the best for you and your family. Thank you for everything you’ve done for the vpin community. Edited May 15 by Lifewater989

Cordsl Posted May 16 Posted May 16 This is absolutely heartbreaking news. I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of your home, but so relieved that you and Mrs. Hauntfreaks are safe. Sending you both all the strength you need to get through this difficult time. Take all the time you need to rebuild, and we hope to hear from you again once you're back on track.
brefreez Posted May 16 Posted May 16 So very sorry that this has happened, I'm glad you have a chance to be here and rebuild. The countless hours spent by everyone in the community got me involved in this hobby, then your full dmds came along and launched me into orbit. Please know your thought of and respected very much. One day at a time
Tronlec Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Warm thoughts to you both Mr and Mrs @hauntfreaks from North Finland. So sad to hear what happened, but if at any point insurance company starts to drag their feet or anything like that. I’m sure we here in the community can help out and we do it gladly. We’ve gotten so much joy over the years from what Brian has contributed! And if receiving help from strangers feels in any way awkward, at least I’d gladly pay for some special back glasses for my games. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy. Just something that I can look at and maybe tell this story to my friends when we play a few games.
pacboy Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Hi Hauntfreaks, I can't imagine what you're going through right now, it's truly heartbreaking. Unfortunately, we can't turn back time; we have to learn to live with it and hold onto what remains and all the people who love and care about you. A person who gives so much to others without expecting anything in return has a huge heart. All my thoughts are with you and Mrs. Hauntfreaks. Pac, from France 🫶.
Content Provider ARMYAVIATION Posted May 17 Content Provider Posted May 17 @hauntfreaks wow bud I don’t know what to say but like most have said you and your wife still have each other to walk the journey of rebuilding together. It’s gonna be hard but I am hoping it’s swift and as much as will will miss your artwork for now there are more pressing things to worry about just remember you have a lot of people here that admire you so don’t stay gone forever. @Dazz I think it would only be fitting to create Mrs Hauntfreaks her own account so we can tag them both and keep her around too. Hell maybe one day she will be making tables to compliment his b2s

hauntfreaks Posted May 17 Posted May 17 LATEST UPDATE: things are moving forward at a steady pace... we have started to replace things we lost, one being I will be ordering a new PC over the next few days... I will not be building a new cab anytime soon, or ever.... but the new PC will be a huge upgrade from what i had for my graphics rig... sooo I might be back in business within a few weeks, maybe sooner... I woke up today , and my wife handed me a new ipad she bought behind my back... so I can continue in my quest to get my old childhood drawing skills back.... about a week or so before the fire I had drawn this 1930's rubber hose style toon of me and my wife.... I hope to continue gaining that muscle memory back from before i was a "mouse" using graphic designer...

RepairDan57 Posted May 17 Posted May 17 Wow, I have been out of town and just got back. I am sorry that this happened to you but I am glad you and your wife are okay. Houses, computers, kitchen appliances can all be replaced. Pet loss, in any form, is and always will be hard and sad. I think that's what's makes us human beings. If there is anything I can do, please let me know. I know you have a lot friends on here that want to help too! It helps us too! Think of us as resources. RepairDan57

ronaldvg Posted May 17 Posted May 17 @hauntfreaks Just read this terrible news. My thoughts go out to you and your loved ones. I just read that you are starting to build things up again and I am certain you will come out of this stronger than ever.
fejnation Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Feel bad that I didn't chime in sooner. I read about this in bed Thursday night before going to sleep. Then I couldn't fall asleep. This is about a tragic as it can get but catching up on this thread now I glad to see that some things are slowly working out, although I can imagine the trauma will last for quite awhile. And I am crazy about cats so I'm so sorry about your loss. My thoughts are with you.
playcade Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Hi Haunt! Im very sorry for your home and cats loss! And Im glad that you and your wife are OK. Send you a huge hug!

AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB 32GB DDR5 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD Under the desk looks won't matter. First thing I would do is unplug all those hoopty led's for petes sake. I never understood why anyone would add lights to the case fans.
