Last year I had a -starting-  fire on the attic with a laundry dryer and thankfully that was only the dryer and did not get into the house itself but you ask yourself...what-if...

So, hearing what happened to you, your wife, the animals, the house...I really feel sorry and would like to send my thought and best wishes and (well...do not know how to say it properly as English is nt my 1st language but hopefully you understand).

But first of all, all the hope and support for you and your wife.

😞I can't even imagine how devastating it must be to see all your work and your life partners disappear. Amid this tragedy, at least this couple is safe.

Absolutely horrible news. I’m speechless reading that. Tragic about your cats too. There isn’t a vpin player on the planet that doesn’t have your work in their setup. I’m sure we’d all like to contribute in some way to help you and your wife. I’m just glad you and your family are ok. You can replace material things but you can’t replace people. Sending thoughts prayers and love from down here in Australia.

In shock when I read and heard about this. So sad and tragic you lost your 3 cats, but be thankful you have each other. There is a whole community of people who have you in their thoughts at present, so please take that with you in the coming days / weeks / months. The community will certainly miss a tremendous talent but the most important thing right now is to be there for each other. God bless to you both and hope the future becomes a lot brighter soon. Hauntfreaks is such a huge part of this community. Not having him around will be felt for sure. Life comes first though and we can understand that. I am so sorry you all are going through this. I can't imagine how overwhelming it must be.
I'm glad you are both safe though, that is the most important thing, first and foremost! I hope you can take the time needed to be recover and move past all this. A fresh start. A new path. Things will get better.

Haunt, I just wanted to add my voice to this. I'm so sorry for the loss of your property and pets and just thankful that you and your wife are safe. I know this must be a huge hurt for you and wish I could do more than just prayers but you got them if you need them. Thankful to all you have given the community over the years and consider myself damn lucky to have a lot of your art on my PC. @hauntfreaks, I am deeply saddened to read about your situation. I am glad that you and your wife are unharmed. You have done so much for so many pinball enthusiasts. Rest assured, your work is safe. Forget about your damn hard drives—VPU, the internet, and thousands of VP fans have backups of your amazing work. You already wrote history. It's all here. Nothing's gone.

 

If your insurance company screws you over, start a GoFundMe the very next day! You have plenty of supporters.
