Content Provider Nesta78 Posted May 13 Content Provider Posted May 13 Such sad news... it's hard to find the words at times like these... wishing you strength. Better days will come. Sending thoughts from France.
neil81992 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Horrific news and my condolences for the loss of your feline family and the awful material losses. I'm glad you and your wife have each other and your relationship will be critical to help other through your tragedy. Please remember your huge contribution to members of this community has provided more joy and happiness than you may realise. As well as being incredibly talented, you also appear very humble and proud - but please don't let pride get in the way of allowing everyone in this community to have this opportunity to give something back, if they are able. I'm sure there are lots of us that would be really happy to show our appreciation for all that you've given, and be delighted if it helps in any small way to get you and your wife back on your feet. Now stop being so stubborn and let us contribute!! Although this is a terrible setback, I'm sure there will lots in the future for you and Mrs HF to look forward to. Keep strong and try and remain positive.
bord Posted May 13 Posted May 13 No words seem good enough to share but here are a few anyway. This is a major heartbreak for anyone. I'm so glad that you two have each other. Hang in there.
Content Provider TerryRed Posted May 13 Content Provider Posted May 13 This is sad and heartbreaking news indeed. Thankfully you are both safe and have each other and loved ones in your life to help get you through it. Take it one day at a time. You'll both get through it, together.

ed20910 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Sorry to hear. Condolences. We had a fire about 4+ years ago while on vacation (happened on sons bday). Lost 1 of our pets and the one that survived is not the same. Positive thoughts your way.
jcopps Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Good lord that's horrible, so incredibly sorry to hear that! Obviously take care haunt and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
JFR1 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Oh man. What sad news to come across this morning. But scrolling through the comments reminded me how unique this community is. Please know @hauntfreaks if any assistance of any kind is needed, don't hesitate to ask. I'll add that as someone who worked at a 24/7 animal emergency hospital, I encountered sadness and miracles daily. And I am a FIRM believer that we are reunited with our furry little friends one day. 🙏
hauntfreaks Posted May 13 Posted May 13 So I would like everyone to know i personally lost my phone.. but my insistent wife got me this replacement... it's how I'm able to still communicate... I didn't want it... it was thrust upon me... she's the rock... nothing would move forward if it was up to me...
nilboggrim Posted May 13 Posted May 13 I'm only a mere speck in this community but I am very sorry for your loss @hauntfreaks. Hate to hear any kind of news like this at any level. Glad to hear that you and the Mrs are ok though. I cant imagine the pain of it but my best thoughts are with you and yours.

And this is the moment when you need to support each other... that way you'll overcome all of this more calmly. A big hug to Mrs. Hauntfreaks as well.
JRVirtual34 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Wow… I’m truly shocked and deeply saddened by what happened to you. We don’t know each other personally, but I know the work you do for the community, the time and passion you put into it, and honestly it hurts to see something this terrible happen. Losing your home and everything that comes with it is absolutely devastating, and I’m truly sorry for you and your loved ones. Even though words feel small in a situation like this, I sincerely hope things will get better for you in the future and that, little by little, you’ll be able to recover from this tragedy. No matter how hard life can hit, we always have to keep moving forward, even through the darkest moments. Wishing you and your family strength and courage for what comes next. Take care of yourselves.
masonm Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Im so sorry to hear about the news. I don’t know what to say really. You got a huge community thinking about you and wanting to help. You can always reach out if you need to

Content Provider RobbyKingPin Posted May 13 Content Provider Posted May 13 You and me went on so many journey over the years. I can only say thank you for everything you did, and not just for me but for the entire community ofcoarse. I consider you like family so I'll be praying for you and your wife to get over this misery as fast as possible. I'll be missing you in my next adventures but I really hope one day there will be some light at the end of this dark tunnel. And I'll definitly make sure to keep your assets from previous b2s files involved in my next projects as well to keep you there where I need you the hardest. You have done so much for this community for years that I probably got enough to pick for years to come as well. Once again thank you dear friend!
Administrators Dazz Posted May 13 Administrators Posted May 13 @hauntfreaks & Mrs.Hauntfreaks, I'm really at a loss for words... Thankfully, I've never experienced a fire personally and never want to. However, things are just material. Animals are family, and loosing one is devastating enough. I wouldn't know what to do if I lost my 4 cats all at once... I have a 18yr old orange that's been my buddy since he was born. I dread the day comes when he has to go. Thankfully, you both are safe and sounds like in good hands. I think that, the least the community can do, would be to help get you started with a new pc and drawing tablet. Can we at least work on doing that??
grn8uddh4 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Please know that your work and generous spirit has helped others persevere through the darkness of tragedy and grief. Strength to you.
goodtwist Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Man, that's shitty. So sorry about your house. And the pets... That would mess me up, bad. Also, your wife is clearly awesome. Glad you have each other, and are both unharmed during this tough time. Take care and good luck rebuilding together.
PEandS1Ws Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Wow. I’m so sorry for your loss. You’ve always been such a steady force in this hobby and always been so helpful whenever I’ve reached out to you. I wish you the best in the months ahead as you start to rebuild your life. I’m glad you and your wife are safe. We all love your work as a community and I know you never want anything from us in return, but just know we could have a brand new top of the line computer to you in a heartbeat if you wanted it. I’m sure we could raise the funds in no time.
SixOfTwelve Posted May 13 Posted May 13 So sorry for your loss, man. Glad both you and your wife made it out all right. I know you said you don't want charity, but if you ever change your mind, just say the word. I'm sure a lot of us here would be only too happy to pitch in.
