To set my question up, I have a 3 screen cabinet with a 4k 60hz playfield and HD backbox and dmd at 60hz also. My gpu is a 4060. I do run all monitirs, including the 4k playfield at 1080p as I feel I can get the best off all situations (if want better graphics bump everything to max but if the table id lagging I can reduce the specs). I've been using this cabinet for about 1.5 years.

I love the sound and visuals of the VPW tables but find they are extremely bouncy by default. I usually have to spend a fair amount of time tweaking the table to get to feel good. Anyone else run into this? I feel i have to bump my graphics to max in vpx and then tweak from there.

I feel I gravitate twords the Bigus1/siggus mods (no dissing these guys as they are my preferred tables), do to the amount of tweaking I need to do to the vpw tables to get rid of the bouncy ball effect as I call it, although the vpw stuff looks and sounds great.

Anyone deal with something similar and/or have any suggestions on how I can get the most of the VPW tables?

Here's my suggestion -- if you think the physics are wrong, take a video and upload it. Seriously. Without a specific example of a table and video to illustrate, it's really not actionable feedback. I do know when tables are being built, the team building the table will typically start with standard nfozzy physics, and then use recorded gameplay video of the actual machines to compare. A lot of time is spent dialing it in. I'm not saying you're wrong or not entitled to an opinion, but what I am saying is that if you want to make actionable feedback, back it up with evidence. It's a great way to contribute back -- no one is feeling dissed or insulted when you do this, and in fact the objective feedback is welcomed.

I'm curious, how often do you play real pinball?

I've rediscovered my love for pinball in the past 1.5 years so haven't gotten out a ton. I have an older Stern Meteor at home from childhood that my father gifted me a few years back. I'm comparing that as my "real" pinball but its possible the rubbers and mechs are a bit worn. Maybe I'm underestimating how "bouncy" the newer tables are.

I've been itching to play some new games so I'll take the advice and check them out. Last time I went to the arcade I was just discovering FX3 and FX so it's been a minute.

If anyone else has anything to add (either I'm crazy for thinking it's bouncy or agreeing and maybe having some tips) I'd love to hear it. I'm building out a new 3 screen cabinet now and just love that i can play almost any pinball table i grew up with, newer ones I've heard about, and originals that you guys come up with.

I wanted to add that part of the reason I posted is b/c I notice a difference in playability based on the graphic settings. If I set tables to low settings the physics is very different than if I max everything out. On my system the difference is very noticeable as the ball bounces and builds up speed so much quicker on low settings. I think I was also looking for how everybody runs the tables and what settings they tweak, if any.

Also I can give some examples if anyone is interested in DMing me or responding. For example, GNR VPW ... I cant hit a ramp to save my life but if I hit an orbit the ball feels as if it's in outer space as it's bouncing around so damn fast I can't even see it. I can fix this by modifying the table and video options to suit me,  but i was curious as everyone had to spend a bit of time modifying the table to suit their preferences or if I'm just too damn picky.

My view is that the VPW tables are perfect, provided your graphics card is at least 6 GB; at 4 GB, the ball may not run smoothly. I have personally found
