The rom is missing or not working correctly Answer: use the rom from the hyperlink provided on top of the release notes 3. There are no options in the script Answer: all options are in the F12 menu, during play 4. At the end of ball, the sound stutters and the lights as well Answer: this is a known issue: this is caused by the pinmame emulation, cannot be fixed in VPX 5. The flashers are very bright Answer: first of all, don't change the tonemapper to anything else then AgX; furthermore you can tune the flasher brightness in the F12 menu Submitter Flupper Submitted 05/04/25 Category VPX - Pinball Tables VPX Standalone Yes

mrdata2000 Posted May 8, 2025 Posted May 8, 2025 Wonderful release!!! Thank you! But is there a working PupPack? Unfortunately, the PupPack twd_156h doesn't work. I renamed the twd_156h folder to twd_160h, but that doesn't work.
legin Posted May 9, 2025 Posted May 9, 2025 Just a FYI I was running VPX 10.8 rev 1836 and it wont run Updated to rev 2051 and it runs smooth as silk
arcovoador Posted May 9, 2025 Posted May 9, 2025 Hi Flupper, First I want to congratulate you for this incredible table. It's absolutely stunning. I know you already said a ton of times the minimum requirements. But Visual pinball 10.8 64bits keeps crashing my setup and running over the 32 bits works quite well. I just dont have a few sounds. Is it possible to remove that big warning near the lockbar regarding the minimum versions required? Thanks a lot again!
entropydigital Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 Quote Is it possible to remove that big warning near the lockbar regarding the minimum versions required? Having the same issue here, system specs all up to requirements and still have the nag screen. Really want to enjoy this table, how can we get the overlay to disappear?
Flupper Posted May 28, 2025 Author Posted May 28, 2025 The test for the “nag” screen is on the running (in memory) vpx and vpinmame version and whether you are running 32-bit. If you get the nag screen, you are running the wrong version of vpx and/or vpinmame and/or 32-bit. This can be: your shortcut to vpx is on the wrong version you have installed the wrong version(s) your frontend software is set up for the wrong version and/or 32-bit
Lardos Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 (edited) This table is looking so great! I'm just having trouble with the DMD which is not full color. Any idea why this is the case? Do I have to do extra steps in order to have the DMD colorized? EDIT: Sorry, I just had to download the correct color DMD file, now it works! Edited May 28, 2025 by Lardos

I did dl the version in the note... Assuming your VPINMAME is already updated to 3.6 Final 64-bit, your rom is either incorrect or missing in the correct location. Make sure you download from here https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/25247-walking-dead-the-limited-edition-v1600/ , DO NOT UNZIP the file, leave name as twd_160h.zip and place in your roms folder (Visual Pinball\VPinMAME\roms). Restart VPX, load the table and run again.

Brundij Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 This is a great table and works perfectly. I just have an issue with the display which is too dark and anything below 100% intensity can be barely seen. Is there any way to change the colors? I'm not able to edit them as in previous versions of Vpinmame.

I'm not able to edit them as in previous versions of Vpinmame. There is a day and a night version. There is also possible to adjust the lighting via the F12 menu. Just remember to press '1' to save your changes while in that menu.
Brundij Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 (edited) Thanks. By display I meant the scoreboard, which is set to a very dark red hue. For example in the attached image the lower part is what I can see when the prison is open, which is as you can see barely nothing. I've been tinkering with the table options but seems there's no way to adjust the brightness or contrast of the DMD only or change it's color. I can increase the night/day percentage but doesn't help much and also makes everything brighter. I downloaded the day version. Edited August 18, 2025 by Brundij
Thalamus Posted August 18, 2025 Posted August 18, 2025 (edited) @Brundij Ah. I see. This table is locked. So, you would have to go to the menu table -> Lock/Unlock in the menu. Now, you should on the rigth side, untick version warning. Then now toggle backglass view ( the button near play button ). Now in the right menu again - tick the one called Collidable Walls. Now you should see the dmd. Click it and on the right you get options for that dmd object. It is set as red and has a value of 1 ( called textbox ). If you increase the 1 to a higher number - at least here, I can get more punch to the display. I tried only once with a value of 3 and it became quite bright. Maybe a tad too bright to be honest. deadmanworking Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 @Brundij would recommend you switch over to external/Virtual DMD, this might fix your issue easily, you could even try the ROM colorization, highly recommend it.
Brundij Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 (edited) @Thalamus It worked. Thanks. I had to change the color to a brighter hue of red so the midtones are red and darker ones dark red. Now it looks similar to the real thing and more importantly I can see what's going on. @deadmanworking I'm not very familiar with the options of Vpinmame/Visual Pinball. In some tables I get 2 scoreboards one on top of the other. Is that what happens checking that option? I'll try the ROM Colorization at some point. But I'm more fond of monochromatic DMD's Thanks both for the help. Edited August 19, 2025 by Brundij
deadmanworking Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 @Brundij correct, you would have the table dmd and virtual dmd and could then disable the former.
Thalamus Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 You can inside vpinmame folder - make a sub folder named altcolor (it isn't created normally) under there - sub folders with rom names, containing colored roms. DMDExt required, but, I have a feeling you might have that installed already. VPinmame\altcolor\twd_160h\ is the path - several different format of files and naming supported. Ie twd_160h.crz ? I don't remember the extension on top of my head. But, the color downloads most probably has the correct one already.
Brian_Frank Posted October 14, 2025 Posted October 14, 2025 I have the correct versions required for VP and VpinMAME and put the revised ROM version in and have lots and lots of tables running perfectly, however this one always throws an error... Line: 1323 Object required: 'Controller'
