FEEDBACK HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL!

Thanks to everyone who has provided feedback (and with pics and videos, etc) with whatever problems they were having! This helps immensely as I can see what is going on with things I can't replicate myself (some being the result of non-english related Windows locale issues, etc). This lead to the fixes implemented in update 1.1.

EVERYONE, please install the 1.1 update!

Please give feedback if having problems still, or if it seemed to help or fix your issues... anything.

If some are still having problems:

- in rare cases a couple of balls may jam a kicker / scoop entrance (Skeletor) and force a ball out of bounds. I can't prevent this (that I know of). If this happens, an Orko Shot won't be able to retrieve the ball. Your only option at that point is to TILT, and allow the game to force an end of ball and resume.

- if you have a low spec PC (slower CPU, low vram, low RAM, etc), this game simply may not run correctly for you!  It doesn't matter if other PinEvent tables run fine for you. This was a game made for 2024 with all the modern features and physics that entails. Those things require a capable PC (but not a powerhouse PC either). This is not your FP from 2010 anymore! This is the most powerful pinball in the universe darn it!

BTW... if it hasn't said by me yet...

Thank you to everyone for the overwhelmingly positive reception to this table! It's very humbling to see so many enjoy the same kind of game I do (no matter what app its made / played on), and the compliments you have been giving have been very kind! It's awesome to see the extra efforts I put in (to so many details and the crazy amount of content / modes / features) is noticed and enjoyed by everyone. This is not your typical "play for 5 minutes" pinball game... and I'm glad to see everyone is discovering the many cool things it has that will keep you coming back to this for a very long time.

TIPS

USE your ORKO SHOTS and Toggle Modes! So many people are missing these very cool and critical features. It's a complete game changer, and unlike anything you'll see on other pinball games! Once you catch on to how it works... its a very fun and helpful feature!

Don't forget about Power Perks! The rewards don't expire (they are saved to your fpRAM file for the table) and can be very helpful towards becoming Master of the Universe and completing the game!

Show everyone your best Score but also your most Collections!

Masters of the Universe - Collector's Edition

Lost / stuck Balls still? Try this? May or may not help.

(First... make sure you install the latest update (1.1 currently) which has fixed issues for many people!)

To anyone having the ball get stuck / lost in Skeletor kicker, or other odd issues (but its running fine otherwise)...

Check the BAM menu (~ or q) and goto Addons. If the "Frame Limiter" is set to OFF, try changing it to AUTO (which is normally the default setting). This is NOT a vsync / fps limiter... but more an internal timing limiter that may allow some events to trigger too quickly or repeatedly if set to OFF, and may cause an odd problem depending on the player's PC and other settings.

While having that set to OFF normally doesnt cause a problem, it doesn't hurt to see if this helps anyone having things like this happen.

I think my default BAM Settings for cabinet and desktop had this set to OFF, so I want to see if I should be changing that to AUTO just in case now.

Please give it a try and let me know how it plays.

If you have other problems by setting Frame Limiter to AUTO (stutters, etc)... then make sure you have the futurepinball.exe set to "disable fullscreen optimizations" first, as without that set you'll get the odd stutters occurring which is a separate thing.

If still having problems... change Frame Limiter back to OFF if it works better for you.

Hello TerryRed again thank your hard work. I have a question. How do one turn up the table mechanical sounds? I'm only getting sounds from the puppack videos...

You need to be sure you have pup_ssf enabled for the mode you use in Scripts \ PinEvent_V2_settings.txt. If you use a 2nd audio device for PUP SSF then you need to configure that in Pinup Player settings. FP game sound are much louder than SSF. you may need to reduce them to match your SSF better. In-game press HOME/End and PAGEUp and PAGEDown to adjust (per table). This is all covered in my PinEvent Guide.

Hey Terry, awesome table and I am so close to playing it.  I can't say I use FP for many tables though I have ran many others to test this issue and can't seem to find what I am sure is a very easy solution.  When i load up your game, everything works perfectly through the load but I once I add credits, I can't get the start button to enact a response.  I checked in FP iteself to make sure my mappings were correct (it's defaulted to the 1 key as it should be) but I can't get a response in the game and hence, no ball loads in the lane. I can run about any other table fine and my start button works as expected... this one seems to be the one-off.

Again, I apologize as I am sure this is something trivial, but I am far better at diagnosing within VPX than FP.  I have ran all the updates and followed your guide.  Thanks for any and all thoughts or help!

Make sure the FP window is in focus (use your mouse to click into it, even if its fullscreen). If its not in focus, some controls wont work.

The Start button will only start the game after adding credits.

It will not "select" anything afterward when you "Choose" players / faction / character. It acts as a "go back" button at that point.

To select anything when you "choose", use digital plunger, special 2 keys / buttons.

Test with only a keyboard to see how it works.

I can add credits fine and DOF even works as expected by flashing the start button after enough credits are added.  I have tested with the keyboard as well pressing the 1 key (and every other key just for good measure) and nothing kicks the game off and loads the ball.  If this were in VPX, I would jump into the script to see where the start button action was written and play with that a bit.  Is there a line in the script I can edit that would allow me to assign the key mnaully, outside of the FP key defaults?  No rush to respond at all as I am sure this is a special problem unique to me... I'm just looking forward to trying this game out as it looks amazing. Thank you again!

There is nothing in the script to change the start key. Don't bother with the script, as that will not solve your issue. Its not a problem with the table. Something on your PC / setup is the problem.

FP works the same as VP for controls. No magic there. Just be sure they are setup correctly in FP controls settings. Pressing the 1 key or Start button (as set in FP controls settings) will start the game after credits are added.

Be sure the FP window is in focus, and you dont have some other mapping related software or another app causing a problem in the background.

Played my first game, 1 player, Skeletor. Amazing table, insane amount of work put into this masterpiece.

I was down to my last ball, ball 5, and managed to get multiball started.

Multiball seemed to send out 10-15 balls at one time, I really could not keep count, and it also really pushed my PC so the ball movement was very slow and not realistic as it was with the single ball.

As I slowly lost all of the balls this is where I had to exit the table. The final 2 balls were lost but the Full DMD message reported 2 balls remaining. Unlike a real pinball table it did not eventually start "searching" for the balls it expected to exist.

Is this a bug maybe? Any other information you would like me to provide?

Regardless - wonderful table, and thanks for sharing with the world.

Make sure you are using the latest table update (1.1 currently)

If your PC is struggling to keep up and slows down, its possible this can have an effect on Skeletor's 9 ball multiball and something not triggering correctly. You can disable ray cast ball shadows in TABLE OPTIONS to try to help out there. Take note of the recommendations here:

I haven't seen this happen myself, but a few others have reported it on version 1.0

If you are stuck and can't progress, then all you can do is TILT and it will end the ball eventually. Make sure you are using 1.1 of the table!

I will have a 1.2 update coming that will have a Force_Tilt_key update (that will end the turn and replace 1 lost ball if this key is used) and a new Lost_Ball_key which will only replace a Lost Ball if stuck in a situation like this where the balls are lost from a glitch and you can't progress. This is not automated, and must be enabled, and set by the player, and you go by the honor system there.... but its meant to compromise in these situations of an unfair glitched / lost ball (which I can't replicate).

v1.2 update

- added PUP_SSF_Max_Volume setting to TABLE OPTIONS - PinEvent
- moved PUP_BallRoll_Max_Volume setting to TABLE OPTIONS - PinEvent
- added Lost_Ball_Key option if player lost a ball from a glitch, has no balls left, and can't progress (TABLE OPTIONS)
- added Force_Tilt_key option in case game became stuck and player can't progress (TABLE OPTIONS)

Lost_Ball_Key and Force_Tilt_key are disabled by default. They are only meant as a last resort option if your game became stuck for whatever reason and you can't progress.

The included Guides have the answers :)

You needed to run "BAM Settings - Cabinet - Reset and Install.bat" for the proper cabinet settings that would remove the upper left HUD.

As for the game.. you only press Start to Start the game or to "go back" a menu. To "choose / select" you use your plunger or Special 2" keys / buttons (by default to act as your action button in TABLE OPTIONS in the table script). Be sure you configured your keys / buttons correctly for your specific setup in FP controls settings.

More info about the game can be found in the included TABLE MANUAL and INFO guide as directed on the download page and the included Install Instructions.

v1.3 update

- updated ballsaver code to always reset when ball kicked out of plungerlane (except for MB modes)

- fix for Mekaneck Mystery Ready pupdmd label getting stuck on during specific moments

- hide pupdmd png animations during ram-man and battlecat "collected" events

- updated left ramp and added fixes to (hopefully) prevent anymore superspeed balls coming off that ramp

- Perks or Points: now shows how many Power Perks are available and how many Power Points you can get before making a choice

Note: you can always exit out of choosing Perks if you change your mind. Choosing Points however is permanent)

If you had any previous versions of the table already installed, make sure the new 1.3 table file uses the same filename you used before so it will use your CFG file (for pov) that you have installed, and so it uses your fpRAM file which has your high scores and Power Perks saved.

I'm having an issue with the game crashing after a few balls as well.  My system should be able to handle it. I've followed all of the latest installer directions and the table plays fine until it crashes.  I've lowered the settings in future pinball. I've updated all of my drivers.  I've tried both versions of the game on the original release and all of the updates.  I'm sure its something on my end I just don't know what else to try.. Thanks for any input you might have!

Assuming you are running on a multiscreen cabinet, try running the "Start FP - PinEvent" bat file. This will run FP without the FP Backbox screen enabled.

DO NOT make any changes to FP settings except as directed, as this is REQUIRED to allow all FP tables to run correctly. (and can cause crashes if not followed)

Always completely close FP when exiting a table for any reason, even a crash / error.

Try playing that way and see if you have any issues. If not, then use the pup-pack features for your backglass / fulldmd displays and keep the FP Backbox disabled.

AMD drivers are known to have issues in general, but this usually at least helps to allow FP to run with AMD GPUs.

I appreciate the help. That did keep the table from crashing.   When I don't have the backbox display checked though I don't have anything on my back glass screen anymore.  I'm assuming its an issue with the pinup player config. This used to be a 3 screen set up but I switched to 2 and haven't played since.  I try to run the display config in pinup player folder but It seems to be loading up on the 3rd monitor that I don't have anymore and therefor can not see it on my other 2 screens I still have. . Any suggestions how I could change this?

As always. Much appreciated!

You'll need to position your PUP FullDMD and your PUP Backglass displays on your backglass screen since you don't have a 3rd screen anymore.

Then you install the MOTU CE pup-pack and go into that pup-pack folder and run the Option 2 bat file (assuming your Backglass monitor is 16x9) to setup the pup-pack for your specific setup. Then the table's pup-pack displays will be shown correctly on your backglass monitor. Do this for each PinEvent table's pup-pack folder.

Also, be sure you have the latest PUP 1.5 update installed as its required for this table.

Got it working! Thank you so much for your help! I stepped away from the scene for a while. Planned my comeback with your MOTU release for many many months.  :P

Hi, i have an issu with dissapearing dmd on the backglass screen. I have 2 screen cabinet setup, so dmd and backglass from the Pup pack are on the 2nd screen. Looks like dmd is disappearing or going under the backglass for a 2-3 seconds even if I am doing nothing. It is happening few times per minute. I was trying to tweak with table settings, change region parameters to US in the Windows, but without luck. Do you have a clue for solution?

The Install Instructions and PinEvent guides both state that you are required to disable the FP Backbox display when using pup-packs. If you don't do this, the FP Backbox display will cover the pup displays (for score, videos, etc).

If you are not using a front-end, then run "Start FP - PinEvent PuP-Pack.bat" to start FP which will disable the FP Backbox for you.

If using Popper as a front-end, then read the Popper and Baller Installer Tips guide that shows you how to do that from Popper.

Hi, thank you for the fast reply.

I am using Popper with PinEvent custom value, but for this purpose I tried to use "Start FP - PinEvent PuP-Pack.bat" and No Backbox.bat from BAM folder and the problem is still there. I do not remember this from the December version. I think this appeard from the MOTU update, or from the update from popper updater. Today I redownloaded MOTU, checked FP config from the attached guide, replaced table and config file for a fresh one, but without luck.

If you are able to check, here you have the video

Thank you for the support of such nice table. It is my favorite table, so that is why I am trying to make it work like a charm :)
