A very rare multiball novelty by Gottlieb. Keep multiball going while collecting nuts and building up game time.

2.0 brings new physics and raytraced playfield.

@RajoJoey added VR support with many cool options in the script.

@jmreedy redrew the plastics.

Very well done. Here are the pros:

  • Coil Ramp Up value is just right
  • Flipper textures are the best I've seen in any Goin' Nuts release
  • Models are top-notch
  • Tables sounds are more "natural"

Con(s):

  • Numeric values for Credits/Ball In Play are not added (not much of a "con" imo)

Since this is a multiball-to-keep-alive game, the strategies you have to take in this game are unlike any other game I've played. The more nuts you grab, the more time you have to restart multiball and stop the 1-ball clock. If you lose a ball with time left, the remaining time is counted as bonus. Some of my personal notes after playing:

  • If you are player 2 in a competition and player 1 has a slim lead on ball 3, it may be worth draining and using your time as bonus to take the win
  • If you fail to obtain nuts on ball 1, go straight for the multiball restart in the top-left
  • Catching a ball with the left flipper and shooting with the right/upper-right is ideal. If the other ball gets lost, shoot the top-right loop and go for the top-left 3-ball restart
