AS a lifelong fan of Jeff Wayne's musical (I bought the LP the day it was released), I appreciate Anthias' development of a game using music and effects from the show.

His table predates the Future Pinball version by Roney and SlamT1lt, so it's not unexpected that the visuals will look more primitive.  Certainly, the flow of the game is much different from the later FP rendering.

However, with VPX now making realistic effects and shapes possible, I have to confess that this one looks more like a work in progress.  If someone with the ability were to help Anthias update the models and effects, this could be a 5-star effort.  As it is, playing the table feels like watching the previz scenes from a motion picture.

This review in no way is meant to denigrate the author's noble intentions to produce a pinball tie-in to one of my favorite IPs.
