When the initial deal gives you a pat hand, you can relax — you’re going to win this round of poker. Thus the name, Pat Hand, for this playing-card themed table. Support for up to four players means: deal me (and friends) in!

Three flippers, a single slingshot — some targets across the top. Joker targets line the right while five rollovers in the center represent the three court cards plus Ace and Ten....

The real fun though is with the bridge of rollover buttons across the top and the sweep of rollovers around the left edge. Try to use the third flipper (upper-left) to just catch a ball and send it in an arc over the bridge — sweeping all the rollovers in its path. If you’re good (or lucky) maybe you can get it to go around a second time.

This is a beautiful, electro-mechanical table. The card-playing, geisha-like woman, the black Japanning of the arch give the table a flavor of the “Orient”. The figures on the plastics remind a bit of Peter Max — fitting for 1975? Curiously, only two suits are represented — spades and hearts.

Thanks to the original table by Klodo81, Pat Hand supports DOF, SSF, has multiple LUT’s. With a beautiful new playfield from SilverSurfer, EMUnderdogs integrated it, refactored the plastics art, added shadows, new rollovers, lighting fixes, and more.

This table is a beauty and it plays really good. Thanks for sharing it guys!

There's only one detail, and please correct me if I'm wrong, because I know nothing about the real table, but I think there's something weird with the top flipper:

When the ball falls from the top and follows this path, it "jumps" at the beginning of the flipper and changes the trajectory to the right, making it very hard to hit with the tip/end of the flipper. Try it yourself, just let the ball fall on this path, do not press the flipper, and observe this "jump":

I've been watching this video youtube.com/watch?v=DjqM0Hnp_uw and the ball doesn't seem to have that jump, it seems to follow the path smoothly until the tip of the flipper. Watch at 10:00 at slow motion, the guy does several loops with that flipper and the ball doesn't jump once.

Also, I noticed that the plastic (Wall017) and the physical wall (Wall025) in that area are a bit different:

So, I adjusted Wall017 to be as close as Wall025 and that's it, now the ball doesn't jump and it follows the path until the tip of the flipper. It's a very tiny adjustment but it makes a world of difference.

Response from the author:

Thanks for the useful feedback. We will certainly fix this in a future update! Right now the team is loaded up with projects but we always do try to get back and doctor up our earlier releases - eventually :)

Thanks a lot for this E.M. table (one more for my cab).

Give 5-star, despite the physics (look unrealistic, in particular the exagerated bounces on flippers).

Response from the author:

Appreciate the feedback! At the time we made this we hadn't been adding nfozzy physics but if/when we update it in the future we certainly will

A wonderful recreation of a beautiful EM. The lighting and art is gorgeous and complemented perfectly by Hauntfreaks' magnificent backglass. Thanks so much to all contributors.

Really fun, underappreciated EM. Check the video below from PAPA 21 at 16.35 to see world number 3 Zach McCarthy playing a great game of Pat Hand.

Another great recreation. The lighting and visuals look great and the concept of the table is fun looping the ball around the orbit.

Thank you for sharing this creation with us!

PS: Would you consider adding Nfozzy/ Rothbauer physics to the table? I think it would lift the game play to another level.
