versins77 Posted July 2, 2023 Posted July 2, 2023 View File Guns N Roses (Data East 1994) Rock table created by Team PP mod by Bigus mod by Sheltemke. Changes and additions: - playfield by ebislit - nFozzys physics - Fleep's sounds - ball shadow and dynamic shadows - lut selector (use magnasave) - some changes here and there (graphics and primitives) Special thanks to: - Team PP - Bigus - Sheltemke - VPW team PS: This table is a mod, not a creation. All the compliments go to those who have been building tables for all these years. A mod is only the addition of a few elements to upgrade a table. Nothing less, nothing more. Most of the improvements come from the incredible work of the VPW Team. Submitter versins77 Submitted 07/01/23 Category Modified (MOD) Games Modified by
BraveNewSoma Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 The table does not render properly on vpx GL There seems to be something wrong with the texture values. Feel free to comment on the below issue regarding where those invalid values came from. https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/issues/611
Content Provider wrd1972 Posted July 4, 2023 Content Provider Posted July 4, 2023 Glad to see this one getting some love. However, I believe there are a few things that need a tweak or two. It appears to me that the majority of the metal walls have a friction=0. This make for some for some pretty nutty ball behavior when whizzing through the walls. Also, it is well accepted that friction=0 should never, ever, be applied to any physical object where the object is directing the ball. There is an obstruction at the top of the "G" ramp, and the ball will not go through. There are two ramp objects stacked, and the ball cant pass. Kill off "RAMP30" and its fixed. The upper sling has a sling threshold of 100. Might back that down to around 2-5 or so. I found several other physics related oddities on the playfield, so it might be a good idea to go through them all and check I have corrected hopefully all of them for the table on my cab, and the table feels much more natural. One more thing. Might see if someone can make you a playfield mesh to add to the table. I am convinced that the playfield_mesh make for smoother and more natural ball action. I have had some tell me that it changes nothing, but some are in agreement too. Who knows. :)Again, thanks for the update. Its long overdue.

Anyone knows how to fix this table? It looks great.
neil81992 Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Thanks so much for your work on these recent mods - great effort and much appreciated. As mentioned in the comments, there seems to be an unusual effect occasionally during multiball where the balls seem to act strangely as if there are magnets above the flippers. Just thought I'd add the issue here in this section. Thanks again for your great contributions!
dacstyle Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 GNR has magnets during multiball, that is correct. You can see the magnets light in the apron.
