What's built...

  • Analog Joystick connected to Zero Delay Encoder (kit was $36)
  • 3D printed mount/arm for plunger
  • Joystick supports to keep it level and make one person install easy (3D printed, but could use anything)

Notes:

  • 'throw' is not as long as a 100mm 10k Pot but it works, and works pretty well.
  • For this joystick (crappy cheap joystick) had to up the deadzone to 20% in VPx to get rid of jitter.

I'm getting a 10k Pot to see if it works with the Zero Delay encoder, which I'll use that instead but this was here and figured I'd try it... and it works pretty well.

Note: Jitter from cheap analog joystick causes all tables to Tilts instantly. The fix = VPx preferences under Controls, change Dead Zone from 10% to 20%.

Hey, mind sharing your 3d print for this? I've got the same controller from a similar kit and am looking to get a plunger and rig it up like this.
