Centaur (Bally 1981)

A bit of a legacy upload, this great game was adopted as a physics improvement project by the great rothbauerw in late 2020. Here we are a few years later and, although lacking some bells and whistles visually, this holds up well and plays great.

Includes VR setup, nFozzy physics.

Original credits read:

2018 - Script adapted from an unreleased version by Borgdog, Hauntfreaks, Drybonz. Base script by 32assassin. Testing and apron scan by The Loafer.

2020 - major physics and VR overhaul by rothbauerw

I'm using desktop mode when starting the table.

1 The alpha numeric displays aren't showing. How can I bring them up?

2. I'm also seeing two grey triangles on the top left and right of my monitor. I'm assuming they are part of the VR option? How can I remove them to simply have a black background in desktop mode?

Thanks!

GordonJames, I had the same issue but I resolved it, though there are some other issues.  Please try these steps:

-Go to Visual Pinball>Preferences>Video/Graphics Options...  In the field labeled, "Fullscreen", please uncheck, "Force exclusive Fullscreen Mode".

-Run Centaur.

-Press Alt+Tab and look for a small window with the score reels.  Select that window, then use Alt+Tab to select the window with the main Centaur table.

If this doesn't help or if you can't find the window with the score reels after Alt+Tab, try loading a B2S backglass.  Somehow when I did that, Alt+Tab showed the window with the backglass and the window with the score reels, and I was able to select the window with the score reels and play the table with the score reels on the screen.  I am able access the score reels this way, but unfortunately, if I try to display the B2S backglass, the table freezes.

This problem seems to be unique to this table.

Good luck.
