I've noticed the last few days that when downloading files from this site, it says "Download starts in 60 seconds".  It then take 60 seconds until the file starts to download.

Downloads on VPU used to be instant.

Is this new and why?

Got it, thanks.  I didn't see the post about it being a paid tier site.

Yeah, I didn't want to have to do it, but situations change.  These changes should help us all in the long run.

I get this error after the 60 second delay:

Sorry, you don't have permission for that!

[#10863]

You may not download any more files until your other downloads are complete

Need Help?

Is this expected or is there something wrong with my browser/cache?  I have checked and I don't have any pending downloads.

Thanks

What file/link are you trying to download from?

Any download button.   Here is an example:

When the timer got down to 0 seconds, I get the previous mentioned page that I do not have access to the file until other downloads are complete...

I tried to clear all cookies related to pinball, but the issue remains.  I did not see any for vpuniverse.   I was using chrome browser.

I switched to Microsoft Edge browser and under that browser I get the same issue.  It seems to be tied with my user id.

I will try to create a new user account and see if this resolves my issue.

Don't create a new user. The system will automatically detect it and ban both accounts. I'll do some testing here in a bit with your account and see what's going on.

@robadv228 - Looks like there was a session that was not cleared out. Perhaps you stopped a previous download or something. Anyway, I have cleared all sessions and just tested yours and it is working again. You should be good to go. Sorry about that.

I seem to be having this same issue. I think it happened when I stopped a download that was active. I've tried deleting my cookies as well with no success. Can you guys help me out??

This issue should be fixed now.  Sessions did not get cleared after processor/hard drive upgrade over the weekend.
