aklaers
So hello to everyone. I am new to the vpuniverse so i thought i would introduce myself. I got the idea of a pin cab from my uncle about three weeks ago and it has taken off from there. Below you will see the one picture I have of my cab as of last night. Finally got to fire up the brains of the operation and get all three monitors working. Tonight I hope to have all the goodies loaded and installed to try and play for the first time. Also the displays are 40/32/13.

aklaers
Its just an old 19 inch monitor i had laying around. I really wanted to have a large DMD to go with all the other screens. And thank you

Content Provider freneticamnesic Posted November 6, 2014 Content Provider Share Posted November 6, 2014 That's an interesting way to build a cabinet. It looks like you've taken cues from actual cabinetry? Is it lightweight? I wonder about breaking it...go easy on it...

aklaers
Thank you everyone. As far as lightweight it is not. It is built out of 3/4 melamine screwed nailed and glued together. Has a piece of 7/16 shatterproof acrylic for the glass. . the design cues have all been taken from cabinets i have seen on here and from my own personal arcade that i have built to fit my style. I love the woodwork, hard and software parts almost as much as playing the games myself
aussieyoda
What dimensions did your cabinet end up using the 40 inch playfield?
aklaers
I just used the standard body cab plans i found on this site. used them exactly and just had a slight router on the sides for the screen and it fit like a glove
